Walmart is advertising "Giants Portal Action Figures". I've never seen these in store, but they look like they're large poseable figures. The price has them at $24.96 although I don't know if that's for a single figure or what. (I'd imagine if it was, the figure would have to be pretty big)

Wonder who else they have? I'd guess Spyro, Gill, Eruptor and Trigger Happy because of the same grouping in their other new merch. Hopefully we'll see all the characters or at least more fan favorite ones.

Gah, so much awesome merchandise coming out in the US. I'd like to see some different Skylanders now though, such as Whirlwind and Boomer (yeah right).

Also, if you look at the Mega Bloks boxes, it shows the prototype designs of them!

Aren't those just the $25 10 inch Lights and Sounds plush toys?

However, the plush don't have tags on them like the ones on the ad (which say "collectable")

Also, Gilly isn't in the selection of large plush. Look at the faces of Spyro in the ad and the stock image- no way a plush would have that glossy look on his face.

Hmm, you're right. All of the released Gill Grunt merchandise so far (Key chain plush, talking plush, stretchable) have the harpoon tip attached.

I was about to post this. Glad you did....my pic was not as clear. From seeing this picture in person, it seems to be made out of hard plastic.....

Interesting. I doubt they will make all of them or smaller characters like Sprocket or Double Trouble. I'd say they will just make a few and it will be the most prominent ones like Spyro, Eruptor, Gill Grunt and such....

My wallet cried when I saw this..... Must have these though, they look epic!

They are super neat. I also saw some beanbag type toys near these today. Pretty tempting.

I've been dying for them to make actual articulated figures ever since SSA came out, but I probably won't get these for one reason.
I only want the full set. What's the point of buying them if they only make their "standout" characters like Spyro, Trig, Gill, and Eruptor? If I'm going to buy any articulated Skylanders action figures, I want the full set and to be able to complete a collection!

I want the articulated ones to be small enough that maybe I could replace the actual ones and just keep the bases

The toys shown in the Walmart ad look like the stretchable figures. They have tags like that.

The description sounds like the large light up plush, with the portal tag to make them talk and light up.

I don't think there's anything new here, just a poor ad layout.

The description and price sound just like the large deluxe plush, that's what I think the text is meant to be.
The stretchables aren't out here yet, but it looks like they are on a zip tie on cardboard instead of just with a tag like shown in the ad, but they have the same type of tag as the plush made by the same company.

Also if you look at the Walmart website in the local ad section and click view image (it's on the last page), the image has "Skylandersstretchables" in the filename.

See, I thought it could have been the plushes too, but as I pointed out I'm my last post, the easiest tell is that a plush would no way have that glossy light reflected on spyro's face. The horns are the only thing plastic and would even be near the look in the ad.

I can't see them being the stechables either. Speaking of which, gilly has a harpoon on the sretch thing, but the one in the ad certainly doesn't. (Id assume it'll probably have one that you can shoot out)

They're *supposed* to be out now. They should be showing up in stores though sometime this week hopefully.
