so i decided to get the gitd walmart portal for giants but for some reason it wont read my crusher and barely picks up my tree rex (i can tell because his lights r very dim along with swarm) but the strange thing is that all the giants work just fine or even better when i put them on an inactive 3ds portal on top of the 360 one. Normally i wouldnt care because my "portal tower" looks pretty cool, but for multiplayer it would b difficult to use 2 giants and maybe an item. Any ideas on how to fix this or will i have to send my portal in? :/

Either return it to Walmart or go to Activision Support for a new one.

if it comes down to that i might just got to activision support cause if i return it i will have to return the figures with it and i would rather not have to level up my tree rex and jet-vac again

The GITD Portal is EXTREMELY glitchy at times..

does that mean it might go away?

Yea, my GITD portal has problems reading my figures as well. At times my game will be stuck looping through the Elemental Sigils on the summoning screen when I place a figure on my portal

ya but like i said i made a "portal tower" with the 3ds between the figure and the gitd portal, it somehow boosts the strength? idk i dont get it, but for single player its fine. For multi player i suppose i can just use my old portal from ssa

It's not all of them that do this. It's like any other product, there are going to be a few defective ones. The glow has nothing to do with it as that is just a different plastic they used and has nothing to do with the electronics inside.

is you portals near metal? or maybe electrical outlets? cause that seems like the portal is getting interference from something. (metal tv tray? ontop of a game system... etc etc?) if not the portal is probably bad/defective

czs716, the little light in the figures is powered by induction power through the rfid chip. but i doubt thats causing their problems.

My GiTD is better than my old one. Don't know.

I have one question, my Portal of Power don't recognize Spyro, Cynder and Sunburn figurines. What's the problem?

I still have a few ocassions where if I swap figs rapifly the game sometimes recognises the removal straight away but the new char takes a few seconds to respond. However, I perceive that to be the game lagging, not the portal doing its thing.

same for me, old wii portal randomly loaded the same figure once in a while lol.

I had problems in adventures where certain figures would cause the game to freeze. I sent in the portal and got a new and that did not take care of it. I then sent in the disc and 20 dollars as mine was out of warranty and activision sent me a new copy and all is fixed.

The best part is I had to call a few times as it was taking forever to get my new disc, one day I came home from work and saw a box by my door. Opened it up and the game was inside. Asked my wife if the check had cleared the bank and it hadn't. I come home the next week and another box with another game in it. Two weeks later I come home and yet another box from activision is on sitting by my door. In the end I got three copies of the game for free. Not sure what happened but, oh well.
