I just went through pirate seas and it doesnt have soul gems S2 characters in this game do not have soul gems also you have to do pirate seas in 5.35mins

Probably on the enemy ship. I have yet to see any gameplay of Chapter 10 but I here you get ambushed by trolls on Flynn's Ship then go to their ship to destroy it.

Hmm...so only the new characters have soul gems in Giants? So then, if you didn't have the first game, you couldn't fully upgrade all the other characters?? :/

The Soul Gem upgrade for any old Skylanders doesn't need to be unlocked in giants... I wonder what happens if you go to giants and buy the soul gem there while not having found the soul gem in SSA....
