Which,um,i don't know why really.
No it's not because the toys come to life,i mean gameplay wise.

I like it because I get the hold my characters in my hands. Makes me feel more "in sync" with the game its self. I like the game play because it brings me back to the banjo kazooie/donkey kong 64 days when you went level to level collecting items that helped you progress. Rather than all the shooter games that are around these days.

i like video games, i like collecting toys. the video game is fun, its colorful, its not too easy, and i like the characters and the story. the toys are (normally) well painted and look very good for figures, so collecting them is nice, and then having that character in the game because i have the toy is another level of connection. so. why i like, game is fun, i like the toys, and the way that the toys are integrated into the game.

I like it because it's fun! Sounds simple, but true. The game play is cool, and the "completion" aspect is addictive. I had a blast with the first version and am really liking the Giants so far.

I also like it because it is fun. As simple as Slammmer's but I do think it is much better than a shooter game like Tupelo said.

I enjoy collecting, it awesome how a each figurine can actually feel very "personal" to each player.
The game has fun co-op gameplay that i enjoy playing with my friends/family. =)

From a gameplay stance, this is basically League of Legends or World of Warcraft on training wheels. Which I enjoy, because hopping on WoW just feels like a massive undertaking sometimes. Skylanders gives me that, but in easily digestible bites. It's not gonna kill me to put down the controller after a level or two. Sometimes I'll just fire it up to finish Heroics on characters I haven't done them on yet. I can't do that with WoW. We're talking at least four hours to make any progression on a toon.
From a toy stance, it absolutely appeals to my obsessive collector spirit. They really snagged me when there introduced variants as well. Many people groan at retail-exclusives, but I absolutely adore them. I have a buddy I talk to about Skylanders, and I like having the "You get the exclusive So-And-So at this retailer" as well as his "Whoa! That one's awesome! Where'd you get that? Who's selling that?" conversations with him. This was also really easy for our ladies to pick up, so we have another great co-op game to play with them!

Well, I mostly just like the figures and am not too terribly fond of the game itself, but what I do like about the game is the combat. Characters like Chop-Chop and Chill are a blast to play as, and it's incredibly satisfying to beat up bad guys with them. It's why I love the challenge arenas so much and wish there were more of them.
With the addition of his wow-pow, Series 2 Chop-Chop has finally hit that Kirby Super Star level of high quality combat where he's got such a wide variety of moves that you want to use them all no matter if the situation calls for it or not. Chop-Chop is still my favourite character to play as, and he's even better with his series 2 figure.

For me . . . I was in it for Spyro, the dragons, and the story. Gameplay wise . . . yeah, its like Diablo, WOW for kids, so . . . can't say much about that.
I'm not a fan of the toy collecting idea, still think its stupid. I just beat the game so maybe I'll add more to this later . . .? |

If I had to venture a guess... based off of his handle... he's an OG Spyro fan who's butthurt over the reboot. Thinks the new Spyro looks ugly. Also, has never touched Skylanders once since spamming the internet with his misplaced hatred for this new series. Just a guess!
