Yes I do, it's just the comment reminded me of the hate comments that were on the NWR's review page of SSA last year.

I don't think they gave it a 95 because it's good by itself,they gave it because they took SSA up to eleven in all good things it had,then added some more.
We all know,without the toys,it's mediocre.But while SSA would pretty much be forgotten without it,Giants has the insane difficulty,interesting story and everything looks prettier and cooler than before. It's a good game with toys or without them,and damn,how good it can be.
They might've overdone it,of course, since the reviewer likes the series.A 90 is fine,but 95 is just like Pokémon Black getting maximum rating in some places back then.It's awesome,we know it,but letting the hype change the rating is not a good thing to do.

Now, comparing an E10 game aimed at children/collectors/younger audiences/families/etc with games of differing genres and target audience, like Skyrim, serves zero purpose and yields only "personal preference" as a result. Instead, let's put S:G up against another recent release which has the same target audience; Pokemon Black 2/White 2 which IGN gave a raving 9.6 http://www.ign.com/articles/20...ersion-2-review!

My kids have both. I have played both. Both are awesome games which both boys, 10 and 7 years of age, love. Do I think Pokemon Black2/White 2 is better than S:G? Nope. Nor do I think S:G is necessarily better than Pokemon Black 2/White 2.

Although IGN's P:B2/W2 review was higher than many, it wasn't out of bounds nor disputed as being "slanted". Looked at in this light, Nintendo World Report's S:G rating of 95 of 100 shouldn't be criticized as "slanted" either, even if the score is not what you would give it.

But Skyrim wasn't all that good. Other games in the Elder Scrolls series was better.

^ TRUTH!! The other Elder Scroll games are WAY better than Skyrim... I was not a fan of Skyrim at all but i love the Elder Scroll series otherwise!! The Nintendo World article was good, thanks for sharing it Matteomax!

Sure! It was on the Skylanders website, featured on the main screen, along with the TRU Hot Toy List, and Skylanders Giants US Tour Dates.

i kinda liked Skyrim's World more than the other Elder Scrolls, but i kinda liked the story line for main quest in Oblivion more than Skyrim.

Actually, I'd personally give it 9/10.
I think Giants deserves the overrated love that Adventure got. Every day I pop into Metacritic to see if there are more reviews. Every day the 3DS version doesn't have one, and the others only have a few.

GameTrailers gave the game a 6.7, stating Skylanders Giants "played it disappointingly safe." I am quite inclined to agree from what I've seen. >.>

...95? Seriously? I'd probably give it the same I gave SSA - 8/10. It was better in a lot of ways than the first but, as HIR mentioned from the GameTrailers review, they did kind of play it a bit too safe.

Wow. Pretty low-brow to accuse a fan site such as NWR of rigging review scores in exchange for free stuff based off one single article that's written based of one individuals' personal preference.

I'm sure the game will sell great. And it's not a bad game. But it's nothing ground-breaking and I'd say the first one was better in all aspects except maybe the graphics and the music. Which are really not enough to make a great game. So I'd say it's okay.

One of the haters actually posted that on the comments of a SSA review.

Hahaha! I'd find it funny if there were more comments like that!

When my friends were showing us all the characters for the first time, this was my reaction.

"Aw cool!, most of these are awesome!"
and then
"What the- is that Spyro? What's Spyro doing in this? Is this a Spyro game or something?"
they told me no, and I had no idea why he was in it. I still liked the idea though.

personally, I think Giants is a fun game. Its better than S:SA for sure, improves in so many areas. At Skylanders, though a bit of a wallet buster, is making new ground in what most would consider a dead game genre.
