He is powerful but slow. He is excellent though. He also rides a SKELETON OSTRICH!

Slow? One of his attacks is his ostrich sprints while he goes stabby stabby! He's not slow, SHROOMBOOM is slow.

Just how I loved Wrecking Ball in the first game, I'm loving Shroomboom's character this game. However, they both are not very good. Wrecking Ball was hard to control with mediocre attacks... so far Shroomboom is super slow with weak attacks; hoping it improves when he levels up more.
But back on topic...fright rider is pretty solid. Haven't leveled him up much yet but he is fairly strong from the get-go.

Shroomboom is not slow, but then again, I have done 4 speed heroic challenges with him, and he is fairly fast. But Fright Rider is faster because he has a dash attack.

I guess I'm just spoiled by my faster characters/heroic challenged series 1 figures.
Fright Rider with his dash is pretty darn fast.

Normally he is slow, but I am just talking about his walking speed. His running attack is fast.

You won't regret getting him, he is very fun! I just got shroomboom earlier, I'm not very impressed, not worth $25, glad it was my parents that paid for it

I like my Fright RIder. He doesn't stand so well all the time. If you upgrade him he is fun. Make sure when you use his main attack that on the third button push you hold it down, the ostrich pops his head under ground and does serious damage.

Glad I saw this thread cus I have been planning to get him all weekend...well, plan on getting him tomorrow that is LOL.
I wasn't gonna get him at first cus I thought he looked weird (Sorta like ghoast roaster- Not too big'a fan) But he's slowly growing on me. I don't have the game just yet (Won't have it for yet another week) so I'm not too sure how worth it he is, but from what I gathered here he's a good choice...glad someone asked lol.

He's basically Wham Shell's undead counterpart, except he's faster.
Upgrade path: Sir Lance-a-lot. 'Nuff said. Merry Christmas. Thank me, later lol

He is very good, but his monologue is honestly aggravating. Reminds me of Hugh Grant, with an extra pompous attitude....

His Jousting path is AMAZING! Proven better than the Lance path. The charge does great damage and on top of that you get a fast spinning combo which can deal around 90 damage if you use it right, and a massive power combo that does about 127 on the spot. The Lance path only gives you some less used combos and a more powerful lance. But he is also much faster the Joust path and would be best for speed runs.

He's quite fun but he's probably the least interesting new Wave One character that isn't a Giant.

Yeah they're (Fright & Rider are 2 different characters, just placed on the same pedestal and Rider sits on Fright) awsome. My little cousin got him me him for my Birthday (a Late Birthday present, but still one of my more treaured ones).
He's pretty fast and good at close range. He's also got a decent heroic challenge.
