Had a question about the Rock variant Whirlwind. Someone on another post stated that the Rock Zook showed up in the collection as "special" zook. When I registered my Rock Whirlwind it just came up as a normal series 2 Whirlwind. Can someone else who has the Rock Whirlwind confirm how theirs shows up in the collection. I don't have my Rock Zook yet so I can't compare between the two.

My GITD Fright Rider and Series 1 GITD Zap was special.

When I have understand it correct, you see only Special Skylanders (from Giants) in the Online game, but not on the console game, or I am wrong?

are online listed as Special, but not in the game Giants, or I am wrong?

My GITD Cynder and Fright Rider both show us as "special" in the console version. However my Rock Whirlwind does not. None of them show as "special" online.

Wanted to see how everyone else's Rock variants show up in the console version. If anyone has pics of Whirlwind or Zook showing up as "special" it would be appreciated.

Both of my rocks show up as special in the game.

This statement is suspicious as the word "dubious" was used, appropriately, on an internet forum posting.

I thought that at first too. But it came from a reputable seller and is perfect in every detail. If this was a fake they put more time into creating it than the value of what I paid for it. I don't believe it's fake and just wanted 100% confirmation from everyone else that it should show up as "special".

Its totally NOT custom.. I bought BOTH of them from, and they say special.

Rock Zook didn't show up as "Special" in the game when I put him on the Portal.

Now I don't know what to believe. Just got my rock Zook in the mail today and he does indeed show up in the console version as "special". The rock Whirlwind I have looks exactly the same as Zook and was packed perfectly. I know it's possible this one's a fake, but it still doesn't seem so. It's also possible that Activision screwed up and didn't update all the rock variants out there as "special". Are there any others out there with rock Whirlwind that can tell their story of how it shows up in the game? Also if anyone can provide a pic of rock Whirlwind showing up as "special" it would be appreciated.

I'm sure that's the S1 art, though, isn't it? Ah, I'm just consfused.

Special Zook has Series 1 art.

Okay, going back a step - did the Rock Whirlie start at level 5 and some gold? If not, then I suspect that the fig simply did not get "specialised" at all.

Yes, it started at level 5 with 2,100 gold.

I have the game on the Wii console, my rock Zook looks like a regular series 2 Zook in game and shows up as a regular series 2 in the collections screen. My GITD Cynder is the only one that has shown up as Special.

Well it appears so far that some show up as special while others don't. I wonder if it has to do with whether or not the figure came in a single or a triple pack. My rock Whirlwind, which doesn't show up as special, came in a 3-pack. My Zook does show up as special and came as a single. Can everyone else share if their rock variants showed up as special or not along with whether they were a single or triple pack. We might just be able to put together what's going on with this.

the painting is different. Cynder has more detail but feels like an bump could damage the GITD-paint.
in the dark the cynder has nice details. the Fright Rider looks like a wax-statue that glows from radiation.

I dont got any other variants so cant test.

My rock zook shows up as special and he is in a single pack....my rock whirlwind ( single pack) does not show up as special but does have 2100 gold and is at level 5. Both on the ps3.

So matteo you need to show some proof. Pictures please
