I have both but have mainly been using Granite Crusher. So far as I can tell the only differences are what you can see on the figures. Granite crusher looks the same in the game as his figure, dark almost black with blue crystals. Personally I love the way he looks but if you were hoping for a higher lever start or 5000 coin or anything like that, it's not there. I've heard some people say he has a higher level cap that goes to 20 instead of stopping at 15 but until somebody confirms this it's just a rumor and I'd take it with a grain of salt. I hope to find out for sure soon as my granite crush is currently at a level 13.

That doesn't happen unfortunately. The article mentioned how giants characters can go an extra 5 levels higher than the old game, but it said it in a way that made it look like it was a perk that only G.Crusher had.

Make sure to use him more! It shall soon be found out so I know whether to go for Granite Crusher or Regular Crusher... BTW, what was that Regualr Crusher with blue gems instead of green ones? You know, this one?^ |

Most likely a Prototype version of Granite Crushy. As I call it: Cobblestone Crusher!
