Are they still worth it

If you don't want the Series 2 versions and wasting money on them, then yeah they're still worth it.

Than get everything in series 2. cause it like series 1 expect all figures are upgraded in some way

No. How would they, though? Maybe it would be cool to release single packs of the non reposed to stores.

They are still worth playing as if you like their characters. To be honest, none of the Wow POWs are game breakers. In fact I'd say the Series Two characters are more worthwhile for the figures.

The figures are SO cool. Well, some of them. Like my S2 Gill Grunt. LOVE the figure.

Here are some of the Wow Pows(Autocorrectberg ):
Terrafin: Press B while doing a Bellyflop to dig into the ground again immediately
Slam Bam: Dash attack replaced with sleigh that does damage to enemies in front of it
Ignitor: Mega Slam and Flame Mortar leave behind patches of blue flame
Trigger Happy: Press A while using Golden Machine Gun to fire a mega blast
Cynder: Press B while flying to bring down lightning around you
Chop Chop: Don't remember...
Whirlwind: Tempest Clouds automatically shoot rainbows (easily best one IMO)
Zook: Can aim Mortar of Life

It depends on the character. Drill Sergeant....no. The series one is completely trumped by the wow-pow. Zook....not a big deal which one you play. Honestly, we just need something to break down their wow-pow. Though switching skill trees whenever is HUGE as well, and might make Zook worth it to many just to flip-flop on a whim!!

Considering the adventure packs still give you an additional level, that doesn't seem likely. If any figures get reprinted, it's Ghost Roaster and Suburn in their adventure packs.

Sort of, sort of not. They work just fine, and they aren't useless in battle. On the other hand, they weren't future-proofed well, and the new figures are way more likely to be able to expand with future sequels.

I played through the entire game as LTH, who is now lvl 15. He was one of the chars that I had boosted up to $65K gold and boy did I need it to buy stuff along the way! (Darn you Auric!)

Surprsingly, some of the enemies on hard can be havok for your characters, even ones up on level 10.

Which is fantastic but makes it near impossible to level up easily on higher levels with level 1 guys.

I'd say yes because think of all the money and time you spent to raise them. I wouldn't just throw them out and forget about them.

I would say that they are definitely worth playing with, what with the higher stat caps, combined with them having a head start on challenges. Not to mention all of the horded money on all of your old characters to spend in the shops.

Can the series 1 figures switch between the upgrade paths like the series 2 figures?

Nope. You have to reset if you wanna switch unfortunately. Now I have to buy Series 2 (Don't like the Wow Pow though), , & just so I can just switch paths without resetting ( I reset these guys all the time).

It's not like the Wow pow was even mandatory to give to peopl, it makes a great addition to it. If anything the best thing out of all of Giants is the Series 2 figures.

Yeah I still play my series 1 that still need to finish upgrading or aren't remade. (Sunburn, Wham-Shell). I see no reason to spend extra money. I only got S2 Chop Chop because he came with ShroomBoom in the battle pack.

Because when eruptor looks like Screw Loose then Breathing Fire isn't worth it.

I got that S2 Chop Chop and I am going to sell him Monday because I don't even NEED or WANT that figure, even if he doe's look cool with that sword.
