I started playing Giants on Friday using my old wireless PS3 portal but I keep having a problem with it losing connection. The portal always worked fine with the original game but now I need to put it about 2 inches away from the receiver just to keep it connected and I've replaced the batteries so I know it's not that. Anybody else having a similar problem?

Lightcore/Giants use some of the portal's power to light the LED's in them - this may be affecting the portal.

Hello DJ311206,

When you place the portal two inches away from the receiver, does it still not work 100% of the time? Have you tried different Champions on the portal?

yeah I bought one of those a few months ago, helped me out tons. Although with the new game portal pack out, anyone should really just buy the new starter pack. You'll be spending what you spend on the battery recharger pack for what you get for the new and improved portal, plus two figures. New and improved because its wired but also because it lights up bright and better for the best lightcore results.

Amazon has various battery packs. I think some people have mentioned seeing them in certain stores - but the only place I've seen them is online.

I'm still using my old PS3 portal. Absolutely no problems what so ever. SOunds like yours is starting to pack up! Keeping New 1 as a backup up.
