So, I went in and started a file on my Wii Copy of Skylanders; Giants.

The first thing I did was load up all of my S:SA Figures and take ownership. Took awhile. This was one of everything (37 figures, 4 Adventure Packs, 9 Magic Items and 4 Sidekicks... speaking of which, did everyone notice in this game, sidekicks have their own special icon instead of using the generic Magic icon?) 54, right?

Then, I loaded all of my Giants loot from yesterday. 7 Giants, 4 Light Cores, two Battle Pack pieces, 3 new Legendaries, 16 Series 2 and 8 Newcomers - 40 pieces.

Total: 94?

But when I first load my "Collection" screen, it says "92". More interesting - when I actually go into it, the center box that shows everything I have says... "94".

Anyone else seen this issue?

I don't think that many people have that many...

Not all 8 Newcomers are available yet anywhere.

only new character i havent found is hot dog, and some people say they have him already. (hot dog is a him right?) same with hot head the giant too.

Then they are lying. Hot Dog is not out yet.

I had Voodod and Ghost Roaster and a few of the originals not show up as loaded. I honestly haven't put all of them on yet. I haven't seen hot dog yet but I did pick up a Hot Head, Sprocket, Flashwing and Series 2 Sonic today from Toys R Us. There were a few other series 2 that I wasn't able to get like Stump Smash, Double Trouble, Hex, & Drill. I was the first person in line so if they had Hot Dog on the table I should have at least seen him. It was no small feat getting the 4 that I got since they limited it to 1 figure per person. Yuck. I even took a vacation day to do it. I would have loved to get the rest of wave 2.

I am using xbox explorer to browse so cannot check but do know that my current tally is correct.

EDIT: Okay, I am back on a PC now (XBox Internet Explorer is a bit of a pain to type on).

So where do you see the number 92? Do you mean when you first go to the Collections screen and there is a number next to a picture of Tree Rex? That is the number of characters you have, as opposed to characters + non-char items (such as sidekicks, magic items, etc).

That number should be somewhat smaller. For example, I see 64 chars but 83 items, all up.

You may need to screenshot to clarify...

Everyone but Hot Dog is out. Shroombloom in the Battle Pack, Jet Vac in the starter, Pop Fizz and Chill as singles/three packs, Flashwing, Sprocket and Fright Rider as singles. Then, Punch Pop Fizz from the 3DS Starter. That's 8.

Three Giants are still totally unavailable at this point though.

Yes, but 7 are completely available at this point. (Tree Rex, Bouncer, L-Bouncer, Crusher, G-Crusher, Swarm and Hot Head).

And G-Tree Rex.
Of the base ones though we're still lacking a quarter of characters.

You, sir, have indeed discovered a bug. The places where is says 92 should say 75 (8+11+8+9+11+9+10+9).

My advice is to burn all of your figs and the game as evil forces are at work and your house may well become a nexus for darkness... Just my opinion, of course!

I heard there was the same or a similar issue last time... Peoples' in-Collection count was different from that showed on their load save screen.
I'm actually having a similar bug with Universe... Apparently I only have 64 champs on it. (Though that may have been intentional if Series Two ones don't count as different registers, I don't know.)

The numbers in the image are the number of Skylanders and the sum of the numbers in each element should total to that.

The number in the centre panel with rivets on it is the total figurine count, not Skylander count.

I am not firing up my console at 1:30 in the morn to take photos but my numbers are correct - 64 Skylanders but 83 figurines.

Mind you, when you click on the rivet panel to show them all, the text at the top says "My Skylanders" so that doesn't fit and is a furphy.

What is the 9th magic item? I know of 2 from each adventure pack.

My count is off by one - I noticed it when I put the Golden Dragon Fire Cannon on the portal. I think it could be that the Cannons are not being recognized in the count.

All of wave 2 was at a few TRU's in the US yesterday.

So you just had to be lucky I guess and be at the right store? Guess I'm going to toys r us after work.

This is a glitch the 94 is correct but the 92 should actually be 75 (the number of in game compatible figures you have of the possible 99). By itself this glitch looks harmless but its odd and there is likely no way to fix it shhort of starting a new save.

My tallies remained consistent althroughout me adding items in a piecemeal manner whereas 92 makes no sense at all. Please provide a calc that consistently reaches a total of 92, based on the OP's owned items. The OP created this thread as it makes no sense.

Okay, I have everything available sans Wave Two of Giants, Series 2 Special Cynder, Series 2 Special Whirlwind, Series 2 Special Zook and Granite Crusher registered and I have 75 noted in Collection. This is correct, no?

I don't think so... 75 is what I have, including all of Wave 2, not including non-character pieces.

Does "Special" Fright Rider show up inside the collection screen any different than your regular Fright Rider?

Yes, but I'm not sure wether it actually counts towards the total.

No the larget number, yes, but not the SKylander count for each element of that sum of those.

Agreed. I'm a collector, I don't feel like that list will be complete unless my collection screen says 100% of figures, but I don't wanna play hundreds for Rocks, any other upcoming variants, and the (good majority of) variants that never arrive here... Even Granite Crusher is too expensive in my opinion just because he's one of the more expensive Giants.

Well that happend to me I have 35 but it reads 44

is it posible to check the games codeing for a list of non game varients? or can they make more non game varients in the furture and still be able to put Special in there name?

Question... when you put "Ownership" in Giants to the SA figures, does it remove them from the SA game collection then? If they're removed from SA can I still go back and play the Heroic Challanges for a different character than the one I'm using, or would I have to "re-own" the figures on SA first??

From what I hear, the Ownership option adds to your Giant game, but it doesn't remove from SA. I think you get to keep the Heroic wether you have the Champion registered, anyway, though.

Changing ownership does not change anything in any other save files. You can change ownership at will with no consequences.
