Just picked up Fright Rider, Swarm and Chill at midnight at Walmart! 7 hours til the main rush!

Guys...I got a strange variant of Zook at Wal-Mart...he looks as if he's made of stone. I'll post a picture of him in the morning if you want to see him. Any ideas on what the official name of the variant is?

Not sure if they have a more official variant name than just "stone" but they are rare, so good job!

Maybe a stupid question but what are the chances of ever finding a "stone" or "rock" variant (which I know is rare) at a TRU or Gamestop since their associates know more about Skylanders than a typical wal-mart employee? Wouldn't they just set that variant aside instead of putting it on the shelves?

More than likely you ain't got a chance at TRU or GS......only shot be Walmart, Kmart or Target.

Hit one of the two WM in my area tonight and it was just me and another dad.

Got my kids the game with GITD portal and Cynder.....

Seeing all these really makes me wonder if I'm really going to get them the series 2 ones......the collector in me with ADHD wants to get them all but the father of two with a wife that is not working is saying " no way".

Of note for all you that have not been out yet.....

The Adventure Pack with Dragonfire Cannon is $19.99. Gamestop's gold one is $5 more, besides the gold coloring....is there any in-game difference? Might just get my $5 reservation deposit back and get it at Walmart.

I'm passing on all variants..

Just went to walmart and got everyone except all 3 lightcore, series 2 slam bam, battle pack, and the actual game. I pre-ordered the game and battle pack at gamestop and will get it in the morning. Hopefully I can find series 2 slam bam and the light cores.

Anybody see the strategy guide? Walmart had an exclusive version with glow in the dark cover. Hillarious but I couldn't buy it....apparently the register said SALE NOT ALLOWED. Didn't feel like arguing so I left it. Kids can do without it for now. Spent enough money as it is tonight.

Still got the Legendaries and Granite at Target tomorrow.

any chance did you notise if that glowing stratagy guide had any addional content?

Yeah. I looked. Obviously didn't have a non GITD version to compare it to, but I looked it through and the cover had a label stating that it was a GITD Walmart exclusive version (printed on the cover, not a sticker). It made no mention of any additional content.

Flashwing is up on TRU US website again, but it has limited inventory::

So the Lightcore Triple Pack is coming out to the US as a Target Exclusive. On TheHDRoom.com there was also a triple with Ignitor, Camo and Warnado coming out as an exclusive to ToysRus, not sure on if it's just a reissue though.

I didn't see Sprocket or Flashwing- I got to Target around 8:30 and as I went in, I saw people coming out with huge bags of Skylanders. I assumed they were Granite Crusher because I got the last one on the shelves, but now I'd be betting that some were the Wave 2 guys.

Also, I did see Sonic Boom as well, but I didn't realize she was Wave 2.



Gilly looks fantastic though. Definite recommended buy.

I don't think that even helps as much as it probably used to. For example, I found 3 GITD in the last S:SA wave at a single Big W (chain store much like Walmart but not quite as large, of course).

However, this time around at thay very same store on of the staff very explicitly stated that if she found a variant now she would put it to the side so she could sell it on EBay.

You know, all Acti are really doing by releasing Wave Two early at TRU is encouraging scalpers. Whenever I hear that chain mentioned, I always hear about the employees lying about or stealing the stock. It doesn't help this will be a US-only thing.

Sigh... I miss those days when I thought I wasn't even gonna buy the game.

My haul for today. Still need to pick up the 3DS version and get regular Cyndar and Punch Pop Fizz, other than that all of Wave 1 is here plus some of Wave 2.

GameStop.com has all figures up but pics for wave on and two!!! So maybe they have wave two too!!!

The strategy guide isn't slated to release until sometime in November, according to what I've seen.

Doesn't Europe have the guide via GAME?

Yeah, on the GAME website, it says Exclusive Start Guide and poster (or something along those lines). It also has wave 2 characters but you can't pre-order them yet and the release date is TBC

The Guide is available from Gamestop.ie. I saw it in one of their stores, but pased on it.

Question about the game?

On the collection screen it shows 6 figures per element. It does not appear to differentiate between LC and non LC characters, and ignores variants. I tried putting my series 1 characters on the portal and they don't unlock in the collection. I wasn't totally surprised by this, but the 8 figures that are not coming out as series 2 figures are part of the collection and even after putting them on the portal, I get nothing. How am I suppose to unlock the characters in the collection, in-game?

Thanks, I knew it couldn't be that silly. I guess I thought with my old game save on there and a new save on the same system, it would somehow recognize them.

I cancelled my Wii GS preorder. But... My mom and dad decided to let us have an early Christmas and they got us an Xbox and the game on Xbox. Were about to run out and get Minecraft and The GDFC s2 and pack.

Anyways, I got Crusher, Pop Fizz, Tree Rex, GITD , and my brother got Swarm, Fright Rider, and Jet Vac.
