How much better Giants is than Adventure.

If you liked the original's idea but were meh on the game... You will like this a lot, lot more.
If you liked the original altogether, you should be dead from waiting right now.
I'm gonna do a review of this whenever I beat the last boss. That's it.
Seriously, guys, if you like the franchise at all, buy this. This thing... Honestly, this might be my new personal GOTY over Uprising. It's fantastic.
Okay, maybe I'm overemphasising, but. This is coming from someone who thought the first game was strictly mediocre. I love this game to death. Now, it has serious viability as a lengthy one player campaign, the opposite of the original.
And, considering the numbers a lot of enemies already deal out in Hard mode, Nightmare should be truly difficult and take a long time to conquer. (And based off of my Hard experience, seriously, if anyone no-death solos it, I will be totally shocked. Unless it's me and Sprocket of course. )
And the new characters, all of them, wonderful. A lot more inventive, like the whole thing in general. The levels are better, the characters are better, the cutscenes are better, the everything is better...

For Landmine Golf, Butt Stingers, Hammer Daddies, and the freaking game, it is amazing.

Don't stress. You'll just get worry lines.

And considering the forum you posted in, I think you could say that the game sucks and sets the video game industry back 30 years, and it would STILL be the hottest video game of the season.

I'd be more excited for the game if I knew for sure that the figures will be easy to get day 1. The shopping aspect of Giants is so unappealing to me right now that it's affecting how excited I am for the game.

Still, I've heard nothing but good things about the sequel, and I'm glad to hear that. Sounds like it's actually a proper sequel for once. You know, the kind that actually adds things and fixes problems the previous game had. That seems to be a lost art these days.

Well, Nibe, watch GameMaster work. Allow me to be the first to make sure I use my second set of Skylanders on Nightmare and go through the game with all level 1 Skylanders. Think I can't do it? Watch the masta.

Notice I said solo the game.
As in finish Nightmare with one freakin Lander from factory default. Without dying.

I watched a GameSpot video on why video games are generally released on different days. Each nation has a different stocking pattern and market expectation.

I watched it on the XBox GameSpot channel so don't have a direct reference but they specifically mentioned the days Oz, UK and USA got SkyLanders, even though the discussion was generic and not related to that game. The only subtle difference is that they mentioned Thursday as the norm release day for Oz and SG came out Wed just gone.

So I'm playing it more, I just beat it today. Once you do upgrade your Skylanders totally, the first sets of levels are a cakewalk and most of the puzzles aren't as hard as I initially thought.
However, don't let this get you down, cause there are still quite some things I haven't figured out- which is a good sign over the original when you could find basically everything within two or three runthroughs: I've gone through the first and second levels at least five times and am still missing a collectable I can't find in them each. A very good sign indeed.
Now, in this new one, a lot of levels will have some hidden things that truly are challenging to uncover, and they also greatly reward exploration, because you can get precious Gold from doing this; a lot of which you can now spend at Auric's scattered stores within levels and the Dread-Yacht, not to mention all the new bonus tasks: Quests, brand spanking new Heroics, Arena Battles, the list of what has improved here is truly infinite. And don't forget... NIGHTMARE MODE!
To point out just how much is available here. On top of the tons of new Heroics to do with new figures, each Skylander has several Quests that do actually require quite a bit of dedication to finish and are very varied, and now every single Skylander can play through each Arena Challenge by themself- 21 Challenges to do per Skylander- the ship has a TON of collectable parts, there are a GIANT amount more collectables, a MASSIVE amount of minigames and general tasks to do that are actually fun. And more. AND, as a bonus, ALL this works with your Series One collection.
This game is much more deep than the original. It's more explorable, it's more puzzling, it's more polished, it's more immersive, it's more fun... Really, guys... You should all own this game.

P.S. Am I the only one who really enjoys playing the Giants? They're overpowered, sure, but destructively enjoyably so!

No, there are three different Arenas, and each has seven challenges, and each Skylander can finish those challenges in their own memories.

I am so excited. Although my parents don't want me spending ALL of this money Day 1, I just found out that I have enough money to buy ALL of Wave 1, excluding the variants and S2 except for Cynder.

You unlock each arena as you progress through the game!

There are 21 arena challenges available after a certain point in the game - you have to do them in sequence.

But seriously, that is exactly how I would want it.

But in the end you get 21 anyway, and if I remember right each Skylander gets to play them. I don't think they actually unlock anything, but they are really fun.

Yea, they sound fun! This type of battle appeaks to me very much, for some reason. It also allows me to easily test out characters - I can test out a character in an arena battle, reset upgrade paths, then test him some more.

Yeah, I stopped playing the story for a few hours to keep playing arena challenges.

They're actually sort of like mini-boss fights.

Is there a mode where enemies spawn in Pvp? Saw a picture on the website.

Turns out I was wrong about Arena Battles and you get to do the 21, just not on each Skylander separately. They still add a lot though.

Wait, what do you mean? Do you mean that once you do an arena battle, you cannot do it again?

You can, just that the completion is on the save, not the Skylander.

Ah. Alright.But do you know if the money is saved on the Skylander, or do you have one main bank?
