On another note...does anyone know if the S2 characters show up different in your collection screen? I know when you put them on the portal, it shows S2 _____ on the screen, but I'm curious about the collection screen.

Anyone know which variants will be considered separate characters in game? Those are the only ones I care about. I'm guessing the legendaries will be.

Everything bar S1 variants have their own spot in the collection screen. This includes S2 names variants (Gnarly, Punch, etc), unnamed variants (come up as Special XYZ, such as GITD Fright Rider says Special Fright Rider), S1 characters, sidekicks, S1 expansion items (such as Sparx, Anvil, etc).

No. But, Dark Spyro and the Legendaries looked like their figures in the 3ds version of S:SA.

I asked the guy working about if they had the glow in the dark sets who said "Oh, we're getting some sets in sunday", but since the Giants packs are sitting there on the shelf I had a feeling he really had no idea about what was going on. I would have bought the 3DS set with gitd Cynder in there if they had it.

Other than that, I was able to pick up those neat Giants hangtags they put on the shelves in GM's pic. There's a smaller one that goes where the singles of figures are and a bigger one for the packs. They also had a HUGE stack of the Giants map things, but I didn't see any of the stickers anywhere so I suspect they either have them and they didn't put them out, or they don't have them in yet. Reverse side of the map has a mini version of the Giants poster, so that's pretty neat as well. I'll take some pics of them in a bit here.

I'm definitely going to check out some more Walmarts on Friday and Saturday. It'd be great if I could find some beforehand because even though I don't really intend to buy all of them on release day, I'll at least not have to worry about finding them later.

1/. Given that there was an "L" in it, I presume you mean Australia. Australia has a chain called Target and they got the exclusive offer last year for S:SA. Unfortunately, their head seemed to be stuck up their office this time around and they did not get this in.

2/. I believe Tesco in the UK are getting the Target exclusive?

The store manager that took my 3 pack reservation (she was training someone how to do it) said they have several boxes full but were expecting several more release day boxes saturday.Maybe no stores have gotten stock of her yet (hence the lack of pictures/ebay listings).... I could live with her coming out later in the US (saves me some cash for now) but i really would like to see her sunday. Would be a considerable gaffe on there part considering the ads and tags. Either way, not a big deal i guess, we will get her eventually, even if its through ebay.

I really hope L-Stealth Elf is out on release. She's one of my favorite Legendaries (which is ironic since I wasn't a fan of the original Stealth Elf).

Do you mean variants skinned differently in the game or simly in terms of its own spot in the collections list?

If the latter, than variants like GITD Fright Rider come up in their own spot.

The solution is to simply submit and collect them all. The line to the Kool Aid (or is it to the ATM to get more money out?) is just over there...

hmmm well in the game it also lists the "chase" variants, right?
but they are no different in game other then the word "special" in there name, right? (i dont count the whole start at LV 5 with money)
sooo other then the 5, there are not going to be more chase variants then? (at least ones the game will recognize)
thats actually only a few to collect then.

so thats a total of 74 then?

It is too early to tell if there is a 3rd Rock chase variant.

It is logical to expect other chase variants in subsequent waves.

Weather they have a spot in collections or not, I decided not to collect the chase variants, as long as the only difference to them is the word "special" above there name. (this is confirmed for at least Glow Cynder, right?)
I will collect the "re-skin" variants tho, so that makes this game a 69 piece set for me.
