Guys, I just had a conversation with Mike Stout at Activision and he's clarified a point for me regarding changing upgrade paths and Wow Pows.

Giants can't change upgrade paths and have no Wow Pow
LightCore can't change upgrade paths and have no Wow Pow. They do have a once per level Light attack.
Series 2 are the only characters that can change upgrade paths and have a Wow Pow

Except the Lightcore videos clearly show that they do have the Wow-Pow. Hate to say it, but I wouldn't really trust the Activision PR man - he didn't make the game after all.

Yes, we've seen Lightcore Prism Break use his Wow Pow in the trailers, same with Eruptor.

We've seen new powers in those videos, but what if those new powers aren't the Wow Pows?

It just seems weird to me that Mike (who isn't Activision PR, he's a Skylanders game designer) would get that information wrong when questioned specifically about it.

Oh, I didn't notice who you'd sent the e-mail to. Well, Mike may be the head of design at Activision but that doesn't mean he knows everything. There is only 1 new upgrade. For Eruptor's is fire breath, Drobot's is the controllable gear and Hex has the floating mask (we don't know Prism Break's). All of these upgrades are visible in their lightcore trailer - and it is their lightcore model because of the brighter areas on the figure.

That was my initial assumption based on what we know, but something was nagging at the back of my mind that they'd said there would be other new powers. I'm probably imagining it or it was just a specific reference to Wow Pows.

I don't think they have wow pows because some lightcores are new skylanders and I don't think activision would make some have wow pow and some not.

Ok so, by that logic, the reposed lightcore characters won't work on SSA - despite all other character references for cross compatibility telling us they do.

Not at all, the Wow Pow can't be used in S:SA, whether it's Series 2 or LightCore.

Is it possible that they all have this power, but they only differentiate them as a "Wow Pow" with S2 (to show ability not avail in S1). LC & GIANTS would not the name since they are completely new.

i really hope i can get all those legendary figures on the day they first come out. It was so hard to find them for the first game.

the legendary 3 pack is on the "hot toy list" at toys r us. You can print off the hot toy list from their website, go in story and put 20% down of the price and reserve it.

it linked me to the canadian tru and the only thing you can pre order is the starters and boosters

For the three pack it doesnt say toys r us exclusive

i know its weird maybe its a given that it says it for the others

so now that we know that new characters, giants, and the 8 original characters not getting a repose dont have a wow-pow power, i think its safe to say that for the next game there will be 24 more series 2 characters. 8 reposed giants, and 16 reposed regular skylanders.

Im still waiting to see if they'll have an 'invisible' character variant, just to see if anyone buys it, lol
