Light Core vs. Series 2 [CLOSED]

For example: will there be any difference at all, in game play, between Lightcore Hex and series 2 Hex figures? Or will they play identically? Seems like a waste of duplication if nothing is different between them, other than the light up feature.

Lightcore will have added powers instead of wowpow as Prism Break when Spawned in shoots a beam around from his crystals. Series 2 has their wow-pow feature.

LightCore's in game differences are being brighter (Prism Breaks Crystals more bright) And i think they get wow pow too because technically they are series 2.

No I saw an interview of someone playing the game and explaining they do light up in game but they don't have series 2 powers they have the lightcore powers i said before.


How can you tell if it doesn't have a wow-pow ability? If they didn't use it or didn't mention it, that doesn't mean it's not there.

+Figures look very cool (And work near ANY NFC device!)
+Don't cost that much extra
+Mainly good choice of characters
-Some have silly poses
-Hex's lightup is downright silly
-Cost extra than standard figures

Series Two
+A lot of cool new poses
+Help expand on collection quite nicely
+Tons of improvements on old figures like better painting and detail
-Standard figures could have gotten Wow Pow anyway
-Some poses are very similar to originals or bad
-Most choices that were left out of being reposed are favorites

Light cores serve as a smart bomb when you put them in the game. Also, the light isn't really fiberoptic like you think it is. It actually requires a chip reader in order to light up. In fact, they say that you you bring the light core figures close to a credit card scanner, they will glow as well. I can't confirm that Light Cores have Wow Pows, but will the new characters have Wow Pows? i didn't think they did

The Light Core light blast only works once per level which really stinks.

To end this silly argument, Light Core get Wow Pow. Series 2 get Wow Pow. Happy?! No, then too bad.

No. Otherwise you could really easily abuse them, and that would one, render Hard/Nightmare into SSA difficulty, and two, make them pointless additions. I'm glad they did that.

Light Core is a gimmick and a money grab. When you play the game, you don't look at the fig on the portal, so you won't even notice it. And, oh yeah, I don't play the game in the dark either.
