I snapped a pic of my local Walmart's Skylanders Giants Endcap. They have it setup and ready to go. The display has been changed out. Now it features Giants characters and trailers.



The new display has -

- Tree Rex
- Bouncer
- Punch Pop Fizz
- Jet-Vac
- Chill
- S2 Flameslinger
- S2 Cynder
- Lightcore Prism Break

Pretty neat. This will be the Walmart I go to at midnight this Saturday, as it seems they have setup for the game whereas others haven't.

I'm gonna break that case and take em' all!

Interesting, why S2 Flameslinger? He isnt in wave 1.

Very cool. I've yet to see this display yet. None of the Walmarts here have it set up yet. Looks nice though.

I live in Woodstock, GA - they were setting up the same display this morning. I was able to purchase the Wii starter pack today. It wouldn't ring up, but the manager did an override. I'm home playing it right now. It's awesome!

Reno and MacArthur, which is - in my opinion - the crappiest Walmart in the metro, yet it has this setup before all others.

I will be here at midnight to attempt to get my 6 exclusive starter packs. If that fails, I have them all on preorder at Samsclub.com, but I will just return those as soon as they arrive, because I will just go to Sams when they open on Sunday, due to them getting 6 PS3 copies, 12 Wii copies, and I forget how many 360 but they're getting those, too.

After a day of game play, I'm on chapter 3. I selected the Hard difficulty setting. The levels are much longer and much more stuff to find as well. When I look at the time it has taken me to complete the levels, and then I look at the Time Clear Goal, I really don't think I'll be able to 100% this game.

The adventure packs are the exact same levels as before, but have the newer look enemies in them. Where you found soul gems before in these levels, there are is treasure instead.

Flynn's ship is basically the ruins or staging ground in this game. The Hidden Treasure magic item does not work at all on Flynn's ship, so no money cheat this time.

Glow In The Dark Cynder looks normal in the game play, but shows up as Special Cynder and started off at level 5 with 2000 gold.

Is the game even really tough on hard? I am hoping hard in this game, isn't the same as the difficulty of the first game. I want to die... a lot. I want Nightmare Mode to be even harder, to the point it will feel near impossible to beat the levels, but it can be done.

I have a feeling I am going to blow through hard like it's nothing. The same goes for Nightmare Mode. I bet that will be a pushover as well. I certainly hope not.

I wish someone would do a run through the first level (those who got the game early). I have a feeling they're not as long as people make them out to be.

I'll try to do a basic run down of the first level this evening. As far as how hard it is, well, yes and no. The difficulty setting seems to make the enemies take significant more hits to kill, and they inflict a lot more damage. I have yet to complete any of the 3 chapters I've done or any of my 4 adventure packs from the first game without having to use multiple skylanders. And all of my original ones are level 10, most with all 32 heroic challenges. So basically - I DIE ALOT!

The game came defaulted t Medium - I kind of wish I would have gone with that first, because I really don't think I'll be able to do the time challenge or enemy goals to completion.

I'll replay Chapter 1 tonight and try and post a youtube video of it. Then I'll post the link.

We just got HD recording stuff... this would be the perfect time to use it.

So, series 1 Skylanders don't unlock Heroic Challenges?

I wonder if series 1 variants would say anything like "Special Wham-Shell" if I were to put a Ice Wham-Shell on there? Can you tell us the name of the Heroic Challenge Series 2 Cynder unlocks? Is it the same one as the first game?

Can you also confirm for us, if any of your series 1 Skylanders are maxed out on Heroics, and if they are, can you write down the stats for them, then make them do a new Heroic in Giants, and confirm that their stats do go higher than they did in the first game?

Accolade for 40 orange base skylanders? Welp, I'm screwed.
