Yes Walmart will be getting the glow in the dark starter pack with Cynder and Portal of Power which they both glow in the dark

i went to the website and they had nothing on giants.

The catalog came in the mail today and is the weekly catalog for October 14-20

I know I'm making a big deal out of nothing, but Granite Crusher isn't really a "repaint" as it is a "reskin", since it actually is different in game. In fact, I wouldn't put it past them to make it have different stats than regular Crusher.

Also, Gamestop's should be "Golden Dragonfire Cannon" instead of "battle pack" so it doesn't confuse anyone.

Yes I'm being nitpicky.

I dunno if you want to include things like preorder bonuses, but TRU is *supposed* to give us L-Bouncer at $9.99 if we get it when we pick up the game, and Best Buy has the pack of goodies.

I'm not sure if it is US only, but what about Royal Double Trouble with the IOS starter pack?

Does anyone know if the GITD starter pack is available for the 3DS in the US? Also do I have to pre-order it and is it available online?

I was at a walmart yesterday that already had stuff advertising, in the games isle, that the gitd would be available on release. Note this was also a walmart notorious, for me, to not have stock ever. Lots of stock on this day though - ridiculous amount of Cynders.

I'm not seeing information anywhere on Toys R Us's Legendary pack. I missed out on that initially with the first Skylander's game and that is what appeals to me the most with the next, depending on if they are characters I already have.

does anyone know if canada is getting the GITD cynder? I asked at my walmart and the guy said they would have it by now if they were getting it. But i dont believe him because he seemed unware of gaints in general. I think our walmarts should get it too.

That offer has ended for best buy, at least for online pre-orders.

For Toys R Us. It is not advertised well - you have to go through their hot toy list reserve process
- Print the Hot toy list off the site
- check off the items you want and the quantity
- take it to customer service at a toys r us retail store
- pay your deposit
- wait for the confirmation email and go pick it up.

The offer hasn't ended. I just put a Giants pre-order in my cart and it automatically added the 5 free items.

whooo so glad I did not preorder from Best Buy for the lame gift pack. I just found out about the GITD Cynder today and that is by far the best exclusive. I'll finally put in my preorder now

Just got back from my local Walmart and they said that you can't pre-order it but they will have it on October 21st and they are also going to have a midnight release for Skylanders Giants. I sure am going to camp at my Walmart store for the GITD Starter Pack and for the figures

Unlike other stores, you only have to put down $1, and you get a $5 giftcard when you pick up the game.


The cards are nice too if you like having different Skylanders paraphernalia and if you decide to go somewhere else, you're only losing a buck.
My store only had cards for Wii and 360 versions, although I'd guess they have them for all the consoles.

I expect a huge launch day, sine my Target had very few cards last time I checked (about 3 weeks ago).

^ LOL I thought the same thing when I saw their promo a couple months ago, Oh boy! I'd much rather have a bag full of crap destined for the trash can than a new arena ala Volcanic Vault.

I buy the games and figures for my 7 year old daughter. The stickers, poster and wristband are all things she'd enjoy. The bag is actually practical for carrying all her figures. That is the version I'm planning on getting for my daughter.

I'm sure older, more serious collectors would much rather have GITD figures. To each their own.

Ideally, I'd like to see more Legendary figures with better stats. Not only do you get collector's value, but benefit in the game.

I'll be bringing home about 5 of those Best Buy bags, as I am buying 5 copies of the game there.

However, my eyes are definitely fixed on the Walmart/Sams exclusive, to which I will buy 6 copies of (2 3DS, 2 PS3, 360, Wii).

I see the value in both preorders, for fans of the game. Fans would naturally want as much Skylanders merch as possible.
