No on some of the other protoypes, they had old bases of the elements. And the Chinese Skylander has a rock-like base while Zap had a water-like and Spyro had a dark purple cloud-like base.

I personally would have loved to see the Chinese Dragon as a Skylander, instead of any of the Earths' other then Dino-Rang.

It's nice to finally know something about the Chinese Dragon Skylander! I've always thought that maybe he/she was a character in a future game or adventure pack that they wanted to originally be a skylander.

Well, the trailer was probably made long before the game finalizations was made. The Giants trailers have probably already been done for quite a few months now as well.

From all indications, this Chinese Dragon Skylander or...CDS...was probably scrapped last minute.

aura, i may be wrong but I think they meant the older prototypes, like the ones on those spyro's kingdom website pics, the one where they reveal the toys.
most toys had earth-like bases and some water.

It's a shame he (I think it's a boy) didn't make the cut I'd love to see him in Skylanders 3 (Are you listening Acti?) I'd love to know if he had a name beside his Earth element seriously Chinese Dragon Skylander? Poor thing smilie What would I name him....Shenlong? Ugh too generic...Hong Long? (combo of Hong Kong and Shenlong) Serlong (serpent and long) wait, no! That sounds like sirloin.... @ @' (Long is Chinese for "dragon" btw)
