My question is...since WalMart is a 24hr store, when will the game/figures be available? I've never bought a game at WalMart on release day to know if you can get it at midnight or not.

Why pre-order at GameStop? They offer no pre-order bonus and obviously no sale. There isn't much of a reason to pre-order there.

Because until now, there really weren't any places offering decent per-order bonuses. I live close to GameStop and I like going there, so it seemed like a good of place as any to reserve my copies of the game. Plus they had the Golden Dragonfire Cannon pack available for preorder as well, so I could get everything I wanted at once.

If Walmart hadn't been so late with their announcement of this, I could have at least preordered my 360 copy of the game at one place and my 3DS copy at another...

Can you preorder at Walmart? And regardless, whats stopping you from canceling your GS preorder? You're not obligated to buy that preordered copy, just cancel it.

yeah at my eb games i can cancel my pre order and use it towards something else. like keep my $10 deposit for a figure or something

Yeah, I was thinking you could cancel from GameStop, but who knows. It's a very sketchy company, so I wouldn't be surprised if they refused to refund.

Actually you're both wrong. If you cancel a preorder at GameStop, you lose your deposit completely. I already lost a few bucks a couple months ago when I cancelled my portal owners pack preorder to change it to the starter pack.

Then they screwed you, that is definitely not how its supposed to go down.

I had never paid any attention to their policy before because I never thought I'd ever have to cancel a preorder. I made it there because I didn't think any store would wait this close to the release date to announce an exclusive. To be honest, I'm angrier at Walmart in this situation than I am at GameStop.

well, i guess i will be going to walmart on october 21st to get the starter pack, instead of target.

Walmart will have plenty of them for sure so I'll be going to pick one up and buy it.

if you zoom in on the picture of the starter pack at sam's club's website you see a sticker that says "only at walmart"
