Why does she suck, she looks like a strong character and probably has a fun game-play. Is there something wrong with her attacks and moves you guys don't like?

^ Yes, I agree =). I'm thinking that people are just knocking her for just her figure design but if you ask me, I think that's kind of closed minded. I always judge characters for their game-play, concepts, and back stories before I judge the way they look.

The Sprocket Mobile is the official name for the tank.

Nuff said.

You can hate what ya want, but I think Sprocket looks awesome, both design-wise and gameplay-wise.

Oh well. I guess if she isn't that popular, that just means it'll be easier to find her figure when it comes out.

It's funny because when I first bought Skylanders, Drill Sergeant was my favourite tech element. Now I'd say he's my least favourite. I've come to really like Boomer, and now consider him my favourite tech element from the first game. Just wish I still had him since I gave mine away a while back, and haven't been able to find him since. I'll just have to get him online I guess. He's simply not being stocked anymore in our area.

I don't remember liking Terrafin. Was that when he got shown at the start? Cause my opinion on a lot of Skylanders have changed since then. Then again- I think that's mostly because I didn't expect a dungeon crawler.

I don't know about her being the "worst" Skylander, as I've not used her, and probably never will.

I do hate how she looks though. ; Sorry fans of Sprocket, but for me, she is the ugliest Skylander. She resembles a human, which to me, is a lot less magical and appealing than a shark man like Terrafin, a phoenix like Sunburn or even a little blue blob like Wrecking Ball. She just...lacks charm in my opinion. I really don't like how she looks. That's just my opinion.

I'll say this right now, the tank isn't the only thing that's cool about Sprocket's attacks. In fact, it's kind of unimportant since it's essentially just Drobot and Drill Sergeant's boring lasers, but presented in a different way.

What makes Sprocket so special is that if you like playing as characters that swing melee weapons, Sprocket looks like an absolute joy to play as. She has very swift swings, big sweeping motions , and the impact makes a brutal *KLANG!* sound effect that really sounds like it hurts. Sound effects are one of the most important things when making a character that swings a weapon around, because unless it sounds like it REALLY hurt, then the character isn't that fun to use. The sound effects in Sprocket's trailer make her wrench sound like a brutal and horrifically painful thing to get hit by, and if they have the right amount of rumble in the controller on impact, she could easily be the single most satisfying character to beat up bad guys with. One could say that the painful sound effects make her attacks very gut wrenching! (Wakka Wakka!)

So yeah, unless you can appreciate some of the more subtle qualities about her gameplay design, you might just think the tank is the only thing cool about her. Couldn't be farther from the truth though. In terms of actual gameplay design, the tank is actually the least interesting part of her in my eyes. (Though it IS still pretty cool I'll admit)

Those were exactly my thoughts when I saw her gameplay,the wrench has a large SWOOSH and the animation is truly amazing

there are no bad skylanders or good skylanders it depends on how you like to play, if you like characters that are ranged you will like them better than characters that are based in close combat.

A cute thought that a LOT of people like to throw out on this forum to try and be smart, but it's simply not true. There IS such a thing as a badly designed Skylander.

Drobot on all accounts aside from character design is a very badly made Skylander. The lasers are INCREDIBLY boring to use not only because you can just hold A and never do anything else, but also because they lack any kind of visual flair. Drobot's lasers could have been a lot better if they at least looked powerful, but instead they just "pew pew" unimpressively. What's also dumb is that they're probably the most effective weapon in the game, making one of the more powerful characters an absolute bore.

His flight is also incredibly finicky and isn't fun to use. Whirlwind is the only character that really got the flight down perfectly as it's smooth to control, considerably faster than her walking, and flows with her attacks incredibly well. There's rarely a time with Whirlwind that you DON'T want to be flying because she's that much fun to control. Drobot on the other hand is a character I rarely use the flight with because it's more of a hassle than a benefit, and usually just gets me in trouble.

Drobot's only other skill is the gears, and they aren't any fun either as they're very unreliable, and since his lasers are so stupidly overpowered, there's no reason to ever use them.

From a pure design standpoint, Drobot is a very badly made character.

Lightning Rod is another good example of bad design since he really has no way to defend himself in close ranged combat. This would ordinary be a cool thing that makes his gameplay unique, except for the fact that Skylanders is a game FILLED with areas where long ranged combat simply isn't an option.

It's nice to think that all the Skylanders are good, but the real truth is that some characters have really bad design. Drobot and Lightning Rod are two extreme examples, but there are plenty of little things about a bunch of the characters that are really bad decisions. Certain characters are crafted more carefully than others, and that's the truth.

Anyways,I prefer a charging or rolling attack like Bash's roll or Wrecking Ball's force field ball,I have always hated Skylanders flight,it's just so freaking hard to control!

sprocket is a waste of space. They could have made a much cooler skylander in her place!! I agree with this topic. Sure wrecking ball is one of my least faves but at least its kind of cute. Sprockets colors are just horrible! and well boomer makes sense as a troll creature...i mean there are several games out now a days where you play as a troll. he may be ugly but hes not as "off putting" as sprocket....i find it hard to believe people like her, and the worst part is i'll probably buy her!

Okay so people don't like Sprocket even though they have not played as her yet.Judging people/thing/animals/toys/books by their looks and apperances is not the way to go.I will buy Sprocket whenever she comes out and see what she is like then I will make my virdict whether I like her or not.So baisicly judging her by her apperance is wrong.*abondons topic*

I'm playing on the Wii and Whirlwind flies amazing. Way better than Drobot's flight as it's so much easier to control and just generally fast (though not as fast as Drobot)

Also, I feel bad for Sprocket. It sure sucks being left out because people think you simply look unattractive, without even getting to know you (in her case, play). I'd know. I highly doubt anyone who doesn't know the feeling would like it.

I just like Drobot's better because he's faster and sets enemies on fire.

Well, it doesn't exactly help most of the reasoning for people disliking Sprocket is "Sprocket is most ugly Skylander and not cool and made me like even X" or "Sprocket is weaker than Y so she's automatically worse".

Seriously, you hate because of her looks? You haven't even played with her yet. She looks very strong and is probably going to be one of the best.

She will be better then Level 10 fully upgraded that I have at home.
