And I'd assume it's just a regular old Dark Spyro Single. Rip open the packaging and it's the garden-variety figure, a clone of the 3DS one.

Still does not make up for all the variants we lack. But at least we got something, I guess.

P.S. EB Games Expo is for Australia. Eat it, America.

With luck it will have some logo on there specific to us and the true collectors will go banana bread trying to track one down to have a complete collection.

Yes, and the 3DS one is good enough for me but some people are going ape trying to collect all the subtley different packaging variants from sundry expos/shows/etc.

Yeah you know I've never really understood why. Its the same figure, just a small difference on the packaging (Very small) Just a small logo thats says where its an exclusive too....

I've had a single pack spyro for a few months now (When he was a exclusive at Tesco or something??? In the UK/Europe). And thats the only Mint/packaged Dark spyro I need (less he comes to the USA- then I'd get another, so I can get one without Dents :/).

Thats great the Australia is getting him now though. So kudos to you guys Better him than nothing right? I"m sure you'll get more variants later on. I mean there is Giants coming next month.

The dark Spyro doesn't have any special sticker or label- its just a plain dark Spyro box with a US peg holder. Pretty easy to get and the wait wasn't too long.
They also gave away a child's cap with zap on the front and a new stylus (Cynder, Eruptor and Terrafin) to everyone who had a go at the game.
Playable figures were only wave one characters but Tree Rex was the only giant.
I noticed some kids were being given NEW character boxes with their dark spyros- which included any of all wave one singles (not light core or giants) and I asked the gent who was guarding them what the deal was and he said that you needed a voucher from some event that happened in Sydney a few weeks ago and they were only given to LITTLE KIDS. He was quite rude actually, so I left hanging my head

Would the Cynder Stylus be available for the USA?
