I've only bough 5 extra packs on top of the one that comes with the starter pack - 2 Cynder's and 3 colour me in Spyro's (One for each variant ). But hey - I did get a Lightcore Jet-Vac card!

I have literally no idea why message you are trying to convey here?

My point was I was originally told that the card release day was the same as the game - Oct 17 but I was told yesterday that the release date is Nov 1 for the cards.

Chance doesn't work that way - the chance of rolling a 6 on a die is 1 in 6 but you could roll 20 times and not get one.

Roll enough times and the average will approach 1 in 6. Likewise, but enough packets and the average will approach 1 in 5.

Dudes chillax. I am fairly certain, by the way he ended it with an emoticon, that he knows how probablity works.

Now on the other hand I would say that the chance of getting a foil card is exactly 50%, you either do or you don't. 2 possibilities means 50% chance each.

I'm sure that they're made with 1 rainbow foil in every 5 packs, but when they're out of order in the boxes then it won't work.

This is a silly converstaion and either you understand the randomness of probability or you dont, regardless: the statement can be made safely as long as it applies to total production run.

Everytime you flip a coin there is an overall balanced 50% chance of flipping heads. In this case there is always a balanced 20% chance of getting the rainbow card. The odds never actually change no matter how many you open but statiscally these factors tend to balance out long-term. Short-term analysises of statistics can often be misleading , this is why sampling is advised to consist of a larger number. You would need a sample size of approximately 400 packs to be able to make ajustifiable arguement that 1 out of five was not a fair breakdown.

^ Basically they are like the variants, except they were a whole lot rarer, like a 3% chance of finding one in your state.

Everything was revleaed... The day I got Thumpback's card . I guess it's to co-inside with the official release of the trading cards - since all of the bios ETC would be released then anyway.

Going to my TRU, target and walmart today to see if the cards are actually out today. If I don't see them, I will assume they come out in nov.
