Skylander Giants Collectors Cards: Photos and set spoilers (warning Image heavy) [CLOSED]

I popped into my local WH Smith today and they had somehow broken the street date on the Skylander Giants Collector's Cards, well I just had to grab a Starter pack.

While the images upload (this is slowing down my computer to no end so you'd better all appreciate this!) to Photobucket, here's some catchphrases as listed on the poster:


  • Chill : Stay Cool!
  • Pop Fizz: Motion of the Potion
  • Hot Dog: See Spot Burn
  • Sprocket: The Fix is in!
  • Fright Rider: Fear the Spear!
  • Jet Vac: Hawk and Awe!
  • ShromBoom: He Shoots, he spores!
  • Flashwing: Blinded by the light!
  • Hot Head: Hey! I'm on Fire!
  • Bouncer: Deal with the Wheel!
  • Thumpback: Hail to the Whale!
  • Ninjini: Any last wishes?
  • Eye-Brawl: I've got my eye on you!

All the reposed and lightcore characters have new art work, which are in the photos (which are still uploading 10/28 right now)

Will edit in the photos when they finish uploading but I wanted to get this out first!

Sprocket's should have been STEEL WITH IT. Hot Dog's is just stupid. I am fine with the rest though. Ninjini's actually makes me like her slightly. smilie

I hope you are scanning, I would love better art. smilie

Try them, I was getting a copy of .Net and I saw the binder behind the counter. I remember saying to myself "I wonder if this shop will get the cards on release date" and then bam - there they were.

Honestly, Imgur is as simply as drag, drop and upload. Not much point now, since it's almost done, but you should consider using it in the future.

If that doesn't work try Imageshack, it's free, fairly fast, and let's you upload up to 100 at once.

It won't work. That album is for the first two images because Buzzthebatgirl uploaded them at the same time. If she's uploading the other images all in one batch, they'll be in a different album. You can only upload into the same album if you've registered an account.

Yes, 28, that explains the delay on uploading. First I uploaded them all onto Photobucket, it then crashed, uploaded one by one - it crashed and then finally all worked on Imgur.

I could have taken even more, but I had covered everything. The poster is A1 sized and will not fit in my scanner anyway smilie

Now that I've taken the time to actually read this "poster" thing, there are some interesting bio spoilers from the Quiz page, text taken from both the questions and answers:


  • Chop-Chop is hybrid of "Undead magic and technology - many Arkeyan race are elemental hybrids."
  • Hot Dog set "Gill Grunt's [tent on fire when he first met the Skylanders] - but he made up for it by helping them complete their mission.
  • Thumpback's real passion is "Fishing - it was the only reason he used to live on a Pirate Ship!"

Great scoop, really wish I hadn't pre-ordered a box of these for my son now though. The cards look poor aside from the actual character art. I was hoping for elemental borders to make them look more unique. The solid colour border is ugly. Oh well.

Woah, didn't realise Topps Europe were based in Milton Keynes.
