Stop being judgemental. Tis indicates that the gold variant figure will be offered to people playing cloud patrol through an amazon linked device by a little gold treasure chest occasionally appearing in the corner of the screen. You may be occasionally offered the special product. It also confirms its a regular looking Flameslinger in game.

Or for the the different versions of Cloud Patrol in general. If not, then that would make the Gold Flameslinger the most expensive to get a hold of.

Well, I don't doubt that you can probably get a Gold Flameslinger from Amazon normally - but it probably wouldn't unlock the character at the same time, which appeared to be the only advantage to get it via Cloud Patrol.

I was more looking forwards to the prospect of a whole store with all characters, rather than just Amazon's exclusives. If I just wanted to buy a new character, it would be so simple as to order the physical character but be able to play as the character in Cloud Patrol there and then.

Hmm. kind of interesting. I'd imagine they'll show off other characters you don't have yet, and then offer them to you. I can see G-F being one of the first that appears to you.

I just *REALLY* hope it's not an exclusive to the tablet version of the game. I have an android phone and have been patiently waiting for Cloud Patrol to come out for us, but this is kind of like beating me with a stick and then setting me on fire.

And i don't even like being set on fire.

If this is Kindle-exclusive I will be very mad. They are cheap to produce and sell for cheap- why can't they just make a mass stock of them and sell it for the $10 shipping worldwide one per customer? Sigh... At least my aunt already has one... So maybe I can just use that. But seriously... They just keep releasing variants that are too frustrating to collect. Soo rewarding.

You do realise that this gold Flamesinger is Series 2, and not the same as the prior variant, right?

It's probably so they can kind of fit bigger Skylanders in there, especially the S2 guys which look like they're much bigger or wider than regular.

some people have said this will only be featured in the new kindle fire's version of cloud patrol, some say it will be available on all of them. Any official word out there?

^ Not yet, but the guy said that Amazon had a deal with Activision, so it might be exclusive.

The figure is cool but I would've liked to see a darker gold wash over the whole figure to bring out the detail work. This Flameslinger figure has a good amount of detail but it's hard to see it because the solid bright gold color dulls the character, in my opinion. I think that I still prefer the regular colored figure.

^ In the video, it shows that you have to purchase the figure through the Cloud Patrol game ( it's $8.99USD) and it is instantly downloaded into the Cloud Patrol game. Amazon then ships you the gold figure after you purchased it via the Cloud Patrol game.

^ No, it's not gold in the Cloud Patrol game and it's most likely not going to be gold in the console game, unfortunately =(. I still think that the character isn't really worth it unless you already have Cloud Patrol and a Kindle.

"There will come a time where customers can buy the toy directly from the Amazon website without accessing the game. But customers playing Cloud Patrol on Kindle Fire will get theirs first."

... so, no time frame given on specifically how distant in the future "There will come a time" actually is.

So has anybody ordered this from their fire yet?!

^ Are you sure you have it on your Android phone or is it a tablet? What version of Android is your phone? I can't find it on my Droid phone (it's the first Droid by Motorola), maybe mine is too old of a model to have it?

My Kindle Fire only offered me the S1 Cynder too.

EDIT: He was recently put back up, but dissappeared after a few hours. This sucks.
