They never said Skylanders was going to stop after Giants, Wumbo.

In this interview at 4:01, an Activision executive announced that there is already games in the works "for the next few years".

What I meant was the three skylander games. They said it was a trilogy, and I said there would be three not two. But thanks for sharing, I want to see them later on!

They never said that Skylanders was a game trilogy. That's the Legend of Spyro trilogy.

You forget that there is Skylanders: Universe and Skylanders: Cloud Patrol, an online game and a mobile game.

Also they might make an update for Cloud Patrol or a new mobile game altogether for Giants....

I mean, There has been no rumors about it, but it is still possible with Universe getting an update...

Actually, they never confirmed Universe was updating. In fact, current evidence points against it completely.

-No Universe Level in Stats screen
-Bottom of packs mentions "online features may be purged at any time"
-No notices related to Giants on Universe site

The three Spyro games you are probably talking about were the game trilogy: The Legend of Spyro: A New Beginning, The Eternal Night, and Dawn of the Dragon. These games were made three years before Skylanders.
