Ohh.. If LC don't work in S:SA, I'm not getting them. I want to be able to play as Prism Break S2 there because I don't have S1, same with Drobot and Hex.
But lightcores still have their S2 reposes.
I guess so. I was looking forward to LC Hex but after seeing how many complaints about how her arms fall off, I kinda think the S2 Figure will be better.

Lightcores have different poses to S2, but I'd be very surprised if the Lightcore version didn't work on S:SA.

is anyone else disapointed by the horrible packaging of the giant figures It looks really half-done and the layout doesn't match the other characters in the slightest.
actually it kind of reminds me of the packaging for the counterfet skylanders someone found a while back.
This means that of the new Skylanders and Giants- Sprocket, Flashwing, Fright Rider, Ninjini, HotHead, EyeBrawl and Thumpback will be in later waves along with all the other LCs and S2 guys.
The packs didn't look familiar to what was posted before, but maybe someone could confirm.
That is far too little for them to release. There isn't any series 2 in there, except for Chop Chop in the Battle Pack and Cynder in the Starter Pack.
Then, that also goes against Tigs "supposed" information about wave 1, which had a lot more to choose from.
If that was indeed wave 1, that's utterly pathetic on Activision's part. I won't say who is right or wrong with their info, but for the sake of having something to do on October 21st (19th for you UK folks), I hope Tigs "supposed" source is correct.

er, point me to my post where i stated what was in wave 1 ... i have NEVER stated what is in any wave. i did state that i have pre-orders placed for all items which is a totally different statement.
You state that two normal sized figurines do not fit on a 3DS portal.
Then why would they even bother trying to shrink down a Giant sized one when there is no way to fit them (according to you) on the portal, in the first place?
EDIT: I know what a fig roll is but they only seem to be a big thing in North America?
They are actually huge in Ireland, haven't you seen the 'How they get the figs in the fig rolls?' commercial

Well that would still be over 1/3 of the figures available for Giants released at the beginning.
after looking at it properly these characters would make sense.
there are 48 characters available to collect and this is releasing 15 of them. there is at least 1 from each element which will allow all elemental areas to be accessed without waiting for the next wave.
it also makes sense financially for activision to be releasing the remodels in wave 1 triple packs with a new figure from an element that would otherwise be unable to be accessed.

Well, wave 1 for the original skylanders had 16 characters I think, so I guess this is about right. Still, I think there should be more than this. There are too many old characters, and not enough of the new characters which are the ones that SHOULD be selling the game. If anything, this list of characters only makes me want to buy Bouncer, and play the rest of Giants with all my series one characters rather than buy anything new. Hopefully this isn't actually Wave 1.

and : The three greatest Skylanders out of them all.
We have seen everything on this list before making me think its a partial list but logically distribution does not make sense without anything else.
Do people think that the wave 1 singles are going to consist of a six pack of Chill. There is something wrong here.
I still expect everything on amazon leak out by Dec if not on release day. It is of note that this is the second supposedly confirmed list and every item on both were on the amazon leak list.
Just as a reminder 24/37 of the figures were out on release day last year
The pattern has always been each wave is about 60 to 80% rereleases with new figures thrown in. Everyone seems convinced tat this year all te figures are going to be evenly distributed this is not how they distribute their toys and if they changed format in this fashion wave 1 will be completely unavailable in two months. there will be about 30+ new figures on the shelves day one this is just how the company merchandises.

Well, we will see if that wave 1 list is correct based on what the Skylanders Facebook page updates with. They keep asking if we can't wait to get certain characters in October. They have mentioned Swarm and Chill for October. Let's see who else they mention.

Ok this sets a foundation again. Four giants at release is good, but one new Skylander....... Umm no. I believe that there would be at least 3-4 new ones but chill seems to be one of them.

Am I the only one who noticed the lack of Jet-Vac? They said everyone except Tree Rex will be in single packs, so he's not exclusive.

Fairly sure Fright Rider, Slam Bam and Terrafin are in Wave 1 too. Also that you'll be able to buy the triple packs as singles.

If for any reason you're not completely satisfied, I hate you.

Don't forget there kind of are. Jet Vac, ShroomBoom, Pop Fizz and Chill then. I'm sure though, there will probably be singles of Shroomboom as well out.
Dunno about S2 characters, but I'd be willing to be there will bet a good amount of them out. Of course, I can't see them suddenly taking back all the stock thats out now so those characters (like Stealth Elf, Double Trouble, Stumpy, etc) will probably be out later in the release cycle while ones that aren't really on shelves right now will probably be out on release day.
Good news folks. I followed up on the LightCore characters not working in S:SA with a guy at Activision. He tested Prism Break LC on S:SA for me and the figure works as if it's a Series 1 Prism Break. There are many reasons they may have put the X on the packaging, he suggested a few, but doesn't know exactly why. Regardless, LC figures for original characters DO WORK in S:SA.

lol, thanks wes ... gotta give them bonus points on this one for confusing potential customers
If they said it worked on SSA, then there would be people who would complain that it doesn't light up like it says on the package. ie. not a lightcore. I understand why they did it that way.

WANTED: regular Chompie Mage. Can be loose. We will open and play with it like all of our Skylanders.
