I don't get why people nickname Skylanders. I can understand nicknaming Pokemon since they're essentially just animals, and you don't call your pet cat "cat", but the Skylanders have established backstories, names, personalities, and characters. It's like playing as Phoenix Wright and nicknaming him "Spike". Just seems weird to me.

For the nickname thing, I just name them after other characters like Yoshi and Eddy and even then I still call them by their real names anyway.

On topic though, Thumpback is personally my favorite Giant.

A hippo would be cool, but when going giant, nothing is bigger then a whale, so I agree with decision to make him the water giant. Animals I'd like to see in skylander in some element:

Hippo
Rhino
Alligator
Snake
Kangaroo

Humanoid versions on some would make more sense then just a straight out animal version

Yeah I like the idea of a Whale character also. I plan to get him (I sadly don't plan to get all the Giants) but he'll be one of the few I'll be picking up.

Your joking right? I mean if you have ever played HeartGold/SoulSilver/Yellow, you would know that they aren't just animals! They have feelings too! Watch the anime, when Ash gets sick, PIKACHU gets sad, when PIKACHU
died in the movie,
ash cried! So don't say they are just animals, cause they aren't!

You can have more than one of a skylander so in that case it would make sense.
