Love Sprocket's design. And those who don't give her game a shot, she looks like she will be one heckuva character. And Tech gets a proper Meleeist finally! YES!

I saw the small soul gem type screen shot of Sprocket in game, and she doesn't look that bad in-game, so she still might have a shot at winning me over

WOW! That is great! Looks like Hot dog has a fireball breath attack, some sort of lava wave spit, and the ability to turn into a fireball, like Wrecking ball's forcefield attack.
I think the Brock thing isn't a boss battle. A different video showed someone going into a challenge-type menu thing with Brock.
And that Pop Fizz thing reveals a lot! You can now see the upgrades in the pause menu thing, and there are "quests." Cool!

I mean, I like the Djinni part of it, but her face and her hair look a lot like SE's. And her blades, oh my. They should of looked like actual scimitar-like blades, not the exact larger version of the pook blades like they are.

Ugh, I know. A fairy Giant WOULD have been better honestly- I eat my words about that being the worst idea possible. Ninjini is just a floating Stealth Elf with extra armor, a lamp, and golden bits at the end of her daggers. I mean really? She could have been so much more.

Fairy giant? I wouldn't care if Persephone got some steriods.

Hot Head is a big Eruptor
Tree Rex is a big Stump Smash
Crusher is a lot like a big Prism Break as they are both made of rock
Bouncer is a robot like Drill Sarge so not very imaginative

So, overall, there could have been more imaginative characters for giants.

Sprocket - Ratchet

The big Clank is actually his nemesis Clunk.

I like sprocket, it's just there's so many female humanoid skylanders

It sucks that I don't have a 3DS so I have no reason at all to buy the 3DS version but I WANTZ A PUNCH POP FIZZ!!! So far I think Pop Fizz might become my new all time favorite skylander after Trigger Happy and Ghosty Roasty.

Has anyone else noticed that there's now at least one female in every element except fire? (Unless Hot Dog or Hot Head turn out to be female, I doubt it though).

I agree with this. I like all of the new characters (except Sprocket, sorry guys), but I kinda get the nagging feeling that most of the giants could have been so much more.

Hot Head- Not that similar to Eruptor. He has fire cannons, proper legs, he looks more beastly.
Tree Rex- He was never that imaginative in the first place, but he's not too similar to Stump Smash who is basically... A stump with mallets... At least he isn't a giant branch or something.
Crusher- Don't object at all. I would like him a lot better if he weren't so similar to Prism Break.
Bouncer- Apart from the color scheme and the fact they're both robots they seem totally different.

There could have been more imaginative characters for Giants indeed. I just think that Ninjini is a terrible offender of it.
Pop Fizz is similar to Trigger Happy, Flashwing is similar [to an extent] to Whirlwind, Chill is similar to Chop Chop, Hot Dog is similar to Wrecking Ball, Sprocket is similar to [nobody old that comes to mind], Fright Rider is similar to Hex(but the lark is totally new), Jet-Vac is similar to Sonic Boom, Shroomboom is similar to Zook, Ninjini is similar to Stealth Elf, Crusher is similar to Prism Break, Thumpback is similar to Terrafin, Hot Head is similar to Eruptor, Bouncer is similar to Drill Sergeant, Eye Brawl is similar to [nobody old that comes to mind], Swarm is similar to [nobody old that comes to mind](but he resembles the Corn Hornet enemies), Tree Rex is similar to Stump Smash...
But they are all just alike in the departments of physiology or overall theme, with the exceptions of the bad culprits that outright copy designs who IMO are Jet-Vac, Ninjini and Crusher.
Sigh, all the elves look the same anyway so maybe that's just why I dislike her... I swear they're almost as bad as all the dragons we got- but they were stomachable because some were actually quite cool and they had a point; one for each Element. The elven just seem to be Toys For Bobs' go-to species palate, sadly.

Wait.... So she can stay in her lamp and shoot out magic rockets? Well, that is pretty unique. I would have liked to see more blade swipes to see if they move like Stealth Elf's do.
