What convension are we waiting for this time?

We're waiting for the GameStop conference in Texas on August 29th. It's not a huge convention, so I doubt we'll see much. I don't know why everyone's getting so excited. We just had Gamescom, which is a huge confrence, and all we got were the character trailers for Chill and Shroomboom. It's completely unrealistic to think we're going to get a trailer for every unreleased character so far. For something like this, I'd guess the best case scenario would be to expect about one new trailer for someone we've already seen a lot of, like Hot Head. They'd never reveal someone that's only been barely seen like Sprocket or Ninjini. Hopefully we'll finally get a high resolution image of the poster, but other than that, I wouldn't hold your breath.

September Nintendo Power should be appearing this upcoming week. I believe Nintendo is doing a Wii U conference soon, and although we might not see any character reveals, we might get some glimpse of Skylanders Wii U gameplay maybe.

i kinda want ninjini to look like i thought she would but i doubt it...

Too bad I won't be here during the week. I'm not allowed to play on the computer during school days until Friday afterschool.

Once I come back, can someone give me a recap on what happened while I was gone?

Looks like Pop Fizz will have a path for that avatar, beast-thing and the other for the potions.

hey guys i was looking on the nintendo e-shop because i was bored and typed in skylanders. skylanders giants came up and they had screen shots of the 3ds game. there were pic's of the upper and lower screen, with tree rex battling enemies on the top and 2 crystals (similer to SSA 3ds) on the bottom. the skylanders in the crystals were pop fizz and tree rex.

The thing on the 3ds shows a desert level. It also confirms MULTIPLAYER WITH OR AGAINST YOUR FRIENDS ON THE 3DS VERSION!!!

EDIT: Also, VERY interesting to note. Down on the "features" area, it says "Supports 3D content. Supports Spotpass. Supports Streetpass". Why is that so interesting? Because the original does not. I went back to the Sklanders: Spyro's Adventure page on the eshop and it only mentions the 3D support.

So it looks like they'll maybe have some special downloads and stuff for the 3DS, or maybe you can share your best time completing a level or something.

I don't know if I could pick a favorite, I loved them both, but they're just such widely different games that it's like trying to compare apples to oranges.

Interesting. Hopefully it isn't too short.
I'm not fond on the level art direction. So far it all looks very similar to eachother, similar patterns, similar shapes... But nice I guess.
I'll check the Australian eShop and if it's there I'll take better pictures since I play on an XL.

Spyro's corpse? I never heard about that, when was this?

It's in Cadaverous Crypt in the left room at the entrance of the level.

Yes! The first two pics looks like the first Level on the Wumpa Island in Crash Mind over Mutant! o_ô

Just had a look at the 3DS Starter Pack and I don't see a Nintendo Network sticker anywhere.

So either 1, Activision was just lazy printing it and there WILL be SpotPass and possibly Online Multiplayer,

Or 2... THE SPOTPASS IS A LIE! Plus *trollface* no Online Multiplayer.

Or 3: SpotPass could be in with no Online Multiplayer. (It happened for NTSC Nintendogs + Cats that there was no NN mark but SpotPass was there so it's not impossible)

Wow, in the 3DS version, Tree Rex looks about the same size as the Drow Witch..

I just noticed Tree Rex's eyes are GREEN on the 3DS.

P.S. Can anyone get better quality images of those? The AU eShop doesn't even have the ORIGINAL game listed... Funny, you'd think they'd advertise it everywhere...

He looks more burgundy color then red to me, but this double confirms him as being a different color in game.

Doesn't look too nice ingame to me. Still say an Autumn Tree Rex would have been cooler.

I also noticed his gauntlets aren't silver there... What a letdown, that was the thing I liked most about him.

faun always thought that was malefore's corpse since it's got three horns. but it does have spyro's tail and isn't much bigger than he is, so who knows? if that is him, that's pretty awesome; it's no less than this fandom deserved at the time for being so unreasonably nasty.

really? faun only sees the whining every now and again on tumblr and deviantart, mostly from people who wouldn't be happy no matter what. on here, nobody seems to complain much in the overall spyro boards (at least that faun has seen). and the skylanders section is, by far, the most active (outside of, maybe, the nonsense/spam boards).
