The fuzzy roster image would support the "Ningini" name if it's "genie"-like. From the image it looks very thin at the base/legs, that's where a typical Genie body would have it's "tail"




I believe there was an interview where a game developer/producer said there would be at least one female Giant, so odds are good this is the one.

He/she may be more like an assassin than a ninja if they keep to the Arabian theme of gene mythology. I see him/her with scimitars and possibly two sets of arms; the first set of arms crossed and the other with scimitars raised...Or is that a dumb idea ?

Ninjini is most likely a She.. Her Soul Gem basically revealed it..

1. Nijini as Stealth Elf's mom... I would ROFL and always make my friend use Stealth Elf when I was Nijini, and make them a paper house.

possibly because djinn and djinni are words that don't actually denote gender. but ninjini is almost assuredly female; what we see in the soul gem looks like a feminine face and, at least faun thinks, there was bound to be at least one female giant. all the others seem to be male, leaving ninjini as the most likely female.

I forgot to say in my earlier post.. soul gem? What video or leak? I've only seen Flashwings...

Pointy ears does not equate to being an elf; just ask any lynx. Djinn/Genies have often been traditionally drawn with pointed ears, as have many demon forms.

I posted this in another topic, but I figure I should post it in the main Ninjini thread too. I've been trying to look at the blurry Ninjini pic in a new light, and today I saw a shape I never spotted before. If this turns out to be correct, I think we've all been way off on what Ninjini really looks like. Try to ignore all of the previous thoughts of what Ninjini is, and then look at the picture below. I outlined what I'm looking at to help you see what I'm seeing.



This may not be a profile shot, but in fact from the front in a completely different character design than we thought. Hopefully my drawings are clear enough to help you see what I'm seeing. I just can't quite piece together what that part below the supposed nose is, and it's questionable how I can't seem to find a second arm. Plus it contradicts that Soul Gem picture, so this is still just a theory. The only thing I can think of with that Soul Gem is that it's actually Fright Rider, and the "red hair" is actually just the red part of his helmet. It seems bizarre to me that they would make two characters that look THAT similar. Even Stealth Elf and Flameslinger had more differences to their face than Fright Rider and this potential woman version of Ninjini.

This is the closest I've ever seen to an actual character from this blurry picture, so hopefully we're on the right track. : )

EDIT: The area I couldn't figure out I think is what most people have been seeing as the supposed woman Ninjini's hair, but it could in fact be something like this.

The Soul Gem (if it was Fright Rider's) would have a more predominate black portion to make up the helmet, and you should be able to see a bit of FR's armor on. The Soul Gem is much more feminine in appearance, with long red hair, more upward pointed ears, and what looks like a orange-ish blouse on.

If I had to take a guess though, based on the pose of the figure and what we can see from the Soul Gem (being IF that is indeed hers), she kind a looks like this.


The way I see it, her hair is in an genie "poof" like you see in the genie picture above, and either goes behind her (in a normal pose) or wraps around her (covering up her mouth) as seen on the figure. (making her like a ninja. As in Ninjini)

EDIT: taking a better look at her pose, I think the other arm is outstretched in the same pose off to the right instead of where I kind of just tacked it on at

Guess it's still too early to tell. I wouldn't mind either way really. I still have to wonder though because just judging from this blurry photo, I don't see enough similarities to the Soul Gem. If I could clearly see a light blue face and pointy ears, I'd be more convinced, but as it is right now I just see purple skin. To me the Soul Gem shares more similarities to Fright Rider than Ninjini. A couple minor details in terms of colour placement between official art and in-game models isn't enough to convince me that it's not Fright Rider, especially considering all of the major differences between pre-release character art and in-game models of the characters from the first game.

Guess we'll just have to wait and see. : )

None taken. : ) That's the fun about blurry leaked photos. Seeing all the various interpretations, and then when the thing is finally revealed, none of them are right. If anything, I hope we're all wrong and it turns out to be something completely different. It'd be fun to see something we didn't expect and have us all go "WUT?!" Watch it turns out we've all assumed wrong in thinking "Ninja" has anything to do with the character. (Though in all honesty I can't think of anything else)

The two round circles above the assassin's mask are supposed to be my general guess where the eyes could be. It looks like some of Ninjini's stomach is showing which could have a belly button.

spyroflame0487, I just read through your interpretation of Ninjini and I like it =). I think you're right about the hair coming out from the turban and I like your overall concept.

I also like everyone else's guesses; they're all unique in their own way. I'm very curious now to see how this character turns out.

It'd be great if we could ask the person who took the original picture if he or she can remember Ninjini well enough to even give us a little bit of an idea what the character looked like. : (

^ What is, Ninjini in general? I'm really excited for Ninjini too =). I'm sure it will be an awesome character to have and play as.

Been playing around in various art programs applying filters to the blurry photo seeing what I can come up with. (I'm super bored since we're moving in a few days, and pretty much everything is packed) This filter makes both theories look pretty convincing. You can more clearly see the eyes that I'm looking at, but I can more easily tell why people say the hat is a red ponytail. It also makes the supposed mouth of mine look more like a part of the coat that the character is wearing.



Of course this isn't really anything to go by since it's taking a blurry picture and technically making it worse, but it's all for fun while we wait for the real reveal. (Also I'm just really bored)

^ Very nice job =)! So I'm sticking to my idea of the red object protruding from the turban as a large red feather. In your image, it really looks like a feather and that would make sense due to some turbans having similar feathers on them. It looks like only one eye is showing and the assassin's mask is covering more of the face than I thought and possibly the other eye or it's just wrapping around it's whole face. Thanks again for posting that picture, DinoHex, it's pretty helpful.
