@Sammi89: Well, I don't check Facebook, so I really do appreciate hearing about this. I certainly wouldn't know about it otherwise. Amazon didn't have an exclusive in the past either, so this is really out of nowhere. Thank you for posting it.

@xerokills: If it's anything like how they handled Wham-Shell, you'll likely at least be able to get 1 if they decide to limit the amount purchased per account. Personally, I'm in favor of them limiting it actually, it means there'll be more to go around to those who want it, but don't want to have to pay resellers for them.

@sykotek A few people here seem to be getting them shipped from people who bought more than one and I think for that reason alone there shouldn't be a limit. Wouldn't be an issue if Activision were willing to ship them out of America, but as it is, a limit does exactly what it says, limit the amount of people who can get one. The US doesn't need a third exclusive variant...

Activision is a US based company and Skylanders are a US creation, so really they are allowed to do what they like and we should appreciate what we do get (I'm in Australia and hoping they let people get more than one so I can get one). It's like Pokemon and Japan- they get tons of random promotions and events and everyone else gets the 'important ones.' Japan don't even have the first Skylanders yet do they?

But Activision have made tens, maybe hundreds of millions off of THIS IP alone. Factor in all the other IPs they have made, and everything else they've done, and there's no reason that these shouldn't be available everywhere.

... EVERYWHERE.

@Nibelilt: Well, I'm sorry, you're the exception to the rule, but all in all, I still support that they limit sales of this item. If they don't, it's far less likely that people in the intended geographical area of where this is being made available will be able to purchase them directly from Amazon and those who are interested in this will only be left the avenue of being gouged on the reseller market.

Being that Amazon is worldwide though as far as I know, I don't see why they wouldn't just open it up to fans in all markets, then you could just purchase one for yourself. ...maybe you should ask your country's Amazon to do so, it couldn't hurt...could end up being more cost effective for you too.

Had one in the cart. Decided to do a little window shopping around the site. Went back to place the order and it had been removed from my cart. It is no longer available to purchase, and if you can get to the page it offers to e-mail you when it is available.

UPDATE: Aaaannnddd...now the page is gone altogether. I'd bet that the pre-orders get cancelled. It really seems to have been posted prematurely.

I am so YGFVHYYFTDHGBJUH that it appears to be another US exclusive X(
now it's... valcanic vault, blue bash, all red drill, sidekicks and now this, and it could've been able to ship here too since it was online.
(I haven't got ANY of them, except sidekicks that costed me a bit, but i wanted them so bad)

More over on a separate note, does anyone have the snail mail address or phone number for Activision customer services in the US/UK. I'm going to bang away at the UK side and complain about the lack of Sidekicks and this. Emails just get ignored, trust me on this one.

I for one am sick to death of us fans getting backdoored on these things. I saw this thread at 8am (GTM) and by 9am, the page was removed from Amazon. Someone in the US should have a few words with the US side too.

So is there anyone out there who can spare one of these....I'm sure I can help them when it comes to any exclusives here in the uk...in London we get lots of shipments in.....please let me know...thanks

I preordered the figure yesterday. The order is still there. They haven't cancelled it. I hope this is what Activision/TFB dub "treasure hunt" Skylanders (ie variants). If so, that is a much better way of handling the distribution of variants.

Urrhm... Maybe when they make the treasure hunt available everywhere. It's a very good idea, there's just no reason it shouldn't have been launched outside of the NSTC regions.
