^Everything that worked in Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure will work in Giants (I'm not sure about the Volcanic Vault though...) just without the Wow Pow upgrades/moves.

with so much grieving and RIP Ghostroaster posts I suddenly feared my quest to get my son the one's that won't be getting a remodel a pointless exercise

the first skylanders had around 5 or 6 waves so i wouldnt be surprised if the amazon leak was wave 1 and then 7 waves followed.

I see four waves honestly.

The artwork for the fire characters was shown, and they pretended like sunburn didn't exist.

Skylanders is probably one of the biggest video game 'Cash Cows' there is as well as Call of Duty and Guitar Hero 'coincidentally' all owned by Activision (I believe).

Third game is a given for sure. They would have to be already in development for it right now to hit a fall 2013 deadline. Giants was already in development before they knew Skylanders SA was a major hit, so once it was a major hit they likely green lit #3.

I definitely agree. Especially considering the younger ages of much of the fan base, they'll want to strike as much as possible, as quickly as possible and not let the fire of popularity fizzle out.

BAD NEWS PLZ READ! I was at TRU, and the guy said, if you use your old SSA portal in giants, it won't be able to fit EVEN 1 giant and 1 normal skylander! much less 2 giants! It seems they are making us buy the starter pack! GRRRR

That staff member doesn't know what he's talking about. Both the Giants' portal and SSA portal ARE the same.

ya when looking for wave 3 i asked a staff member if they had gotten wave three yet and they said they had not gotten wave 2 [i bought all of wave 2 from that store] so you cant always be sure they know what they are talking about

^Size. The Giant's one glows the colour of the element of the Skylander that is on the portal at that time.

ya probebly not seven waves but wave one will be big. id say we can exspect 3-4 new characters per wave. but knowing acti they will probably make us wait longer

I'm saying Chill and Swarm are going to be wave 1 because they have had their trailers released. If they follow the same process as SA, they would release the trailer before they are released. For SA all the characters available at launch had their trailers released prior to the initial street date. None of the characters from wave 2 and beyond had their trailers released before launch. Then before each subsequent wave, they would release the trailers.

Over 50% of the SA characters were available either via singles or Adventure Packs day 1:

Air: Whirlwind , Sonic Boom
Earth: Prism Break, Terrafin, Bash
Water: Gill Grunt, Zap
Undead: Chop Chop, Ghost Roaster
Tech: Trigger Happy, Drobot, Drill Sergeant
Magic: Spyro, Voodood
Life: Stealth Elf, Stump Smash
Fire: Flame Slinger, Ignitor (3DS Pack), Eruptor

1. Your making assumptions. Flashwing was also one there but you believe chill and swarm are in wave two. You just can't know unless there are facts.

^Amazon was right about the names of the figures, so I trust them about the waves. Of course the waves could've been altered since then, but there's nothing against them.

so thats what is most likely certain for wave one
and last game there were 2-3 characters per element
so there are more this time so there will probably be 2-4 characters per element so the amazon leak seems to make sense but the fact there is so little about flash wing and sprocket it seems strange they would come in wave one

^ I don't believe the amazon list as wave 1 because it would mean over 75% of the toys would be released from the get go. The trickling out of the toys in waves keeps people interested in Skylanders and fresh in their minds. The amazon list as wave 1 theory leaves far too few characters to fill out more than 1 to 2 additional waves.

^ I agree, I do think they might be a little more shrewd about not releasing some of the new skylanders as singles in wave 1 but having them only available in battle packs and triple packs initially, this would drive up sales of series 2 characters.

@EpicHiro I'm saying what's left out of the amazon list leaves very little for waves 2 and beyond.

EE has a case of regular release battle packs available for pre-order. So we should get at least one non-exclusive BP at launch as well. I wonder which new skylander will be in it?

Again, if it's a new Skylander who is not going to be in the single pack wave 1, it will drive up sales on it.

- No Online Play, Still 2 player Local co-op
- No New Adventure Packs, but the 4 Adventure packs from Spyro's Adventure will unlock new levels in Giants
- A Hat Shop is now available.
- The Game is about 16-19 Chapters (levels)
- There will be four new Battle Packs.
- Battle packs will contain One new skylander one series 2 Reposed figure and one Battle Item

ya but your forgetting the levels are longer and to beat the level u will need a giant and a regular so some levels u will have to replay it for example go through with a small and then a giants

@zylek then that means some characters that are in triple packs will come in battle packs as well? the chances of that are very unlikely.

September Nintendo Power should be dropping soon. I just read an article about a Shante game being revealed for the 3DS in the September issue, so everyone should be seeing their copies soon.
