Question about Level Caps [CLOSED]

So old Skylanders will be able to level up to level 15 now, but will those extra levels be available in the original Skylanders game, or will they simply stay at level 10 if you were to put a level 15 Wham-Shell in the original game? I actually hope that the original Skylanders game still restricts old Skylanders to be at level 10. The way I play the game with Wham-Shell now makes the final boss a really fun challenge, but if I were to suddenly be able to gain 5 extra levels while fighting Kaos' Skylanders and get a higher HP bar, it would make it too easy.

So yeah, does anybody know if the level 10 level cap will still be in place for the original Skylanders game?

In SSA, Skylanders will have their levels return to level 10 if they have been leveled up to level 15 in Giants.

That's a relief. Thank you. : ) Topic has served its purpose. (Might be a good idea to have a frequently asked questions thread for Giants)

Will this alter the current lvl 15 data or will it have two separate strings because if it reverts you to lvl 10 and you get money or a power-up at lvl 10 in SSA then in SG will you return to lvl 15 with the upgrade or will you be lvl 10 with the upgrade?

Ideally, they would have used defensive programming in SSA and simply had a condition that >= 10 is treated as 10 in the game.

What they did in reality, is a different kettle of worms...

I'm not sure I understand; what did they do?
