I'm talking about the Series 1 Skylanders (original poses) Or will they be discontinued and the new poses will take over the market?

I believe the physical "Spyro's Adventure" branded ones will be discontinued. All figures getting a remodel will be in new "Giants" branded boxes, along with any of them NOT getting a remodel.
The games will probably still be produced as well as most anything else branded with Adventure (like the Stylus bobbers, probably some of the cases. They won't discontinue a character in the foreseeable future.

I heard the Adventure Packs will do something in GIANTS so I assume they will keep making those at least. And the series 1 figures that aren't getting a remodel.

They said that they'd still produce them, but unless it was Voodood, Dino Rang, Wham Shell, Boomer, Warnado or Camo I don't see why anyone would buy them when you can get the series 2 versions that work with the first game.
And, unless you didn't work it out already, I missed Sunburn and Ghost Roaster because they come in the adventure packs. |

I heard from the company in an interview that they plan to have them stick around for a little bit but they will slowly become harder to find. AND I NEED TO FIND AND BOOMER STILL! is no problem, I'll just get lightcore.

The first page in the Everything We Know About GIANTS says the adventure packs from SSA will open the same worldsin GIANTS. Is this incorrect info?

I'd doubt they'd even put them at half price. Pretty much any of the figures that don't sell will either be left on the shelf to sell with Giants, or sent back to the factory to be repackaged (As will probably be the case for those that aren't getting a remodel)

bet your going to see a lot of get a free/discounted series one fig when you buy a giants starter pack w/portal. or buy x number of figures get the series ones.
I just hope they keep up the practice here of you can only buy one of each figure per transaction, and then you have to get out of line and start all over again at the end. That cut down on a lot of the scalpers here. |

It'd be cool to see a Sunburn, Wham Shell and Ghost Roaster three pack.
Doubt it, and the collectors would swallow them up to where those just wanting them for play won't get squat anyway.

Looks like the prices have gone down but will rise again with Giants. I paid $300 for metallic cynder. Now you can get one on eBay with a flocked stump for $200. Crystals and glow in the darks are all around 150-200 but when the new game comes out demand will go back up so will the prices. I'm buying now while its quiet and cheap.

Well, Boomer and Voodood didn't sell very well, so I don't think they will still go crazy disappearing. The others will probably still pay off for Activision although I think some people may also wait for the anticipated and extremely likely Series Three.

Well, since the new game allows for the registration of characters who are from the first game and not getting a series 2 variation, I can't see them discontinuing characters like Sunburn, Ghost Roaster, Camo, Warnado, Voodood, Boomer, Dino Rang, and Wham Shell.
It wouldn't make sense to make a game, but you can't 100% complete it because you didn't buy Skylanders when the first game came out. To top it off, it is partly Activision's fault for not having characters like Wham Shell flood the stores, because they want to make it so people don't stop searching and have any downtime between games - in my opinion at least. I do wonder how they're handling the distribution of magical items as well as the level toys from each adventure pack, which do unlock levels in Giants (you can see Empire of Ice in one of the trailers). I mean, unless series 2 Slam Bam and Terrafin are coming in rebranded adventure packs (ie adventure packs in Giants packaging), it would be odd to see them selling two versions of Slam Bam and Terrafin, one in single packs and another in adventure packs. How does one go about getting 8 magical items in this case?
