Skull Master. The only time I find ectoplasm mode helpful is if I get cornered.

Fear eater. Though, to be honest, both of Ghost Roaster's paths are kinda "meh."

Skull Master all the way. Only the best for Ghost Roaster my most favorite Skylander and his Skull Charge attack makes him the best he can be. Besides his Ectoplasm mode is kinda slow and has too big a sacrifice to use.

I did Fear Eater but I should've went Skull Master. I only did FE because of the exploding ghosts and they don't have much range at all if I remember right..

I went for Skull Master, but I am yet to try Fear eater.

Fear Eater increases Ghost Roaster's versatility and move set, making him a very lethal character with a wide variety of attacks as opposed to a character with only one good move.

i have all skylanders expect wham shell well i do have him but i cant open him until my birth day

Fear Eater. Skull Master is likely better on PSC360, however, on my preferred choice of console version, the Wii version, it is BADLY nerfed. Either way, Fear Eater is more versatile though, and gives him a way to deal with many more PVP foes.

An upgrade down Fear Eater actually makes Ectoplasm Mode fater than normal speed and the damage taken only HALF as often, which is the biggest seller, with Nightmare Touch being a neat bonus. Ghosts exploding is a shockingly huge boost in Story. Pain Chain is your main attack now, as it is faster and less picky than Skull Charge, which basically turns into a dash move.

Skull Master makes him simply power. Not a bad thing, but on Wii, the Skull Charge hits enemies only once and you're locked into its duration, which is an awful loss. This makes him utterly terrible in PVP, as Ectoplasm is too unreliable down that path, and Pain Chain is rendered useless. It's a threat in Story however and I guess it would be a lot better out of Wii.

I'm not sure, but I think I might try the fear eater path. I would've tried the Skull master path, but after hearing how it only hits enemy's once, I think I'll pass.

This, 1,000%. Fear Eater takes the brakes off Skull Charge, strengthens his abilities by making Ectoplasm both a reliable invulnerability mode and a useful radial attack (capable of hitting foes on platforms), and basically puts Heroic Challenges on Easy mode. Anyone turned-off by losing health with Ectoplasm should honestly try it; the damage is negligible.

I took Skull Master because i dont do anything else other than skull charge . There is also that heal option from eating ghosts . Never say no to healing .
