Hi.....Im looking to buy the E3 2011 trigger happy, gill grunt and spyro in their boxes. Can anyone help?

your chance on these are somewhere between slim and none ... rarer than hen's teeth i'm afraid

It's not double posting, but it is spamming which is also annoying, but it's true that bringing it up is equally annoying, there's no real need to post when you have nothing to add to the conversation though, just hit the little "Report" link in the corner of the offending posts if you have a problem with them.

@MRskylanderT: It's going to be pretty tough to find, there aren't exact quantities, so there's no telling how many there are out there. Good luck finding one or two, let alone all three.

They seem awfully rare. Even if one does pop up on eBay good luck finding it for a good price (correct me if I'm wrong).

Just curious guys, found one of these (Trigger Happy) with a Chrome Spyro on ebay as a set tonight. Sounds like it's worth it to try and grab but I wasn't sure.

If its a real e3 11 triggy depending on price if u really want it remember what ever u bigg chrome spyros only bidding for about 100 right now make sure u really want it

I don't see these being super common, but I suppose if you're after a full collection, go for it. Not sure where you would really find them, though.

I really wanted it but it's too high for my wallet now maybe another time. I did check though and it sounds legit, plus he pointed to some rare E3 fallout stuff he just sold. I wish I could be media so I could get cool stuff like that.

So I noticed the E3 Trigger Happy (and Chrome Spyro) auction went for $500 and change!!! Does anyone think there was resale value in that? I wonder what a set of 2011 E3's would cost???

Yeah I was one of the ones who bid and lost, bid 500 with 3 seconds left and whomever sniped me with 1 second left. A set of these three will be practically impossible to get.

these 2011 e3 are like prototypes and in the future its the 2011 e3 skylanders that are going to be the most worthy ones out there... so if you think 500 dollars to much now, just wait until they go for 1000 dollars and up in a few years..

It depends if the game is still popular in a few years. If not, it will worth nothing.

So I contacted the seller of the E3 Trigger Happy auction yesterday to see if he had more of them or had additional info of where I could get them. Here are his responses:

"Unfortunately I do not have Gill or Spyro, the items were gifted by the PR company Activision hired and it seems everyone got random luck on it. I actually had no idea of the E3 Gill or Spyro until I started this auction, other game authors might have something available though. There were about 150 of us during their judges day event."

"Unfortunately on the figures the number is probably not that easy to pick out, from what I know they had figures sent out and at the event that were shared as a perk of sorts. For the number out there it's at least 150-200 and given how many appointments Activision books for those preferred media it would be about a total of 600 possible between that whole E3 2011 run of pre-production figures for people who were sent it in the mail and who could have gotten it at the show.
Most companies tend to just archive these or let them slip through the cracks, they make good page 1 news when it comes in the mail but they generally just make their way into the hands of anyone who takes interest. At this moment I'm not sure of anyone else who might be up for selling their figures if they still have them, it could be a safe bet to inquire with any game outlets that have posted shots of the figures before or covered the game at E3 2011. Generally editorial or other branches will let them fly if they see no harm in doing so."


*** Based upon his info, which I think is fairly accurate, the number of each figure given out can be reasonably guessed around 200-300 of each figure. Now when you consider that these were given out with the expectation that the media and onlookers were to beta test the game and "open" the packages, then you can imagine how many actually still exist that are UNOPENED!?! My guess would be half or less. Needless to say, these are QUITE RARE and will be extremely difficult to track down outside of eBay***
