My guesses for the names:

Sprocket- No idea.
Cannon Piece- Someone said the Undead character leftmost on the leaked poster looked like a Tree Rex from Galecrack so it may actually be a standing, haunted cannon. I'm pulling at straws here.
Flashwing- Earth Regular might be it. It seems to have wings on the sides.
Chill- Normal size Water Skylander. Think about it, Slam Bam, Water Giant also looks a bit "cold", and even that almost all the Water decor and Water Theme in Universe is more icy.
Fright Rider- Definetly the Undead Regular.
Hot Head- Definetly the Fire Giant.

The name 'Churchill' is a mistranslation from the German version of Amazon, it's really the name 'Chill'.

well this is going to be fun guessing who's names whose and battle packs? sounds interesting... I was going to post news about the wii U version being rated by ESRB but I was too late

is it just me or do you think that a battle pack is like a adventure pack but an lightcore instead of the magic items

I really doubt that the battle pack includes 3 Skylanders.
Maybe Cannon Piece is juat an item or something?
Something you can use in battle arena or for the air/battle ship?
If it would be a character, why not name the pack tripple pack E?
That makes no sense to me.

I'm leaning this way too. I can't see them naming a character Cannon Piece, kids' game or not.

Maybe he fires lazers like Prism Break, hence the flash part, and he has wings obviously, thus we get Flashwing.

Are you saying that Cannon Piece is the new tech skylanders name. Because you also put that is could be a special piece, which is what I thought and it could be like a collectible thing which you can build into a cannon in-game and in reality.

Anyone else notice that the german site does not confirm that lightcore figures will be sold as both lightcore and non-lightcore variants this is worth noting even though we have seen non-lightcore versions of known lightcore. This is worth keping an eye on

What makes you think Cannon Piece is a Skylander?

Not trying to sound rude, but I want to know.

Cannon Piece is one of the Skylanders in a Battle Pack with Chop Chop and Shroomboom. A Giant wouldn't fit in a pack with two normal-sized Skylanders.

They did confirm to expect more adventure packs.

Cannon Piece is probably the Fire Skylander. He's kind of got a round shape so it wouldn't be crazy to think of him turning into a cannon ball and being shot out of it.

Although, it's still possible these won't be their final names so don't get too attached. Remember that German magazine had Pop Fizz as Alchemist? Things change. (Although, Fright Rider and Sprocket sound awesome)

I think if it had to be one, a Tech (Giant even) Skylander would be much more suited to it.

Arguably though, Wikipedia's entry for a cannon sort of solidifies it.

"A cannon is any piece of artillery that uses gunpowder or other usually explosive-based propellents to launch a projectile."

Hmm..very interesting. It doesn't really sound like an Expansion pack (Although that'd be super interesting if they had 2 Skylanders and the main Expansion piece instead of 2 items) so my money is either on being the Fire Skylander or a battle Arena.

Anyone going to get a clear pic of that new Giants poster at Comic Con??

I heard there is a Giants display at Comic Con and I'd assume it would have the same poster we just have a fuzzy version of now.

I saw a video interview with a Skylanders: GIANTS rep where he said there will be 4 more adventure packs of the elements that did not get one in the first game.
