I was wondering if Stores like Best Buy, Target, Walmart, Toys R us, Gamestop, Etc. would have pre-order bonuses?

On Toys R US Website If you preorder online you get a free Legendary Trigger happy

Best Buy- You get a Bag of goodies

Target/online - None so far

I damn well hope not. I hate pre-order bonuses.

It'd be interesting to see if any stores actually offer anything outside of maybe giving you a stylus when you pick up your game. Really, there's not much sense to preorder stuff; they make plenty of the game on release day.

The only one who MIGHT have something is TRU. They've partnered with Pokemon in the past and they're the only reason I preorder those games there since they usually offer something when you pick up your game. (Although Target had a nifty little Black and White Art Book but I digress)

Especially since TRU is the only one who has the Legendary variants, they could toss those into your pick up.

I expect no preorder bonuses but about six first day store exclusives

The closest thing is best buy offers free shipping. but I dont think thats what youre expecting

I agree, I doubt there will be any pre-ordering bonuses since they haven't mentioned anything about it, plus like Spyroflame said they make enough games on release day that you don't need to preorder.

I only preordered because I had $20 in reward certificates from Bestbuy that would expire before the game came out plus it's free shipping haha

But I wouldn't put it past activision to make some skylanders store exclusives again at least for the first couple of months then release them everywhere haha

well here in norway when you pre order you will get a coupon for a giant or a skylander

Nothing was mentioned when my local TRU started to take pre-orders last weekend.

For a game this big, GameStop will almost definitely have some kind of pre-order bonus. Same goes for Amazon, Walmart, Target and Toys R Us. I really hope that they are not retail exclusive pre-order figures. That will make them impossible to get...

While I wish that I could say GameStop would have a pre-order bonus, I'm not too certain. They completely botched Pokemon Black and White when those games came out. I had pre-ordered Black from GameStop. Then I turned around, got my money back, and went with Target because they were offering an exclusive art porfolio with purchases of the game while GameStop would had given nothing extra.

I'm hoping that retail stores do something special with Giants, and I do agree that an exclusive figure would not be ideal. Yet at the same time it would guarantee the sales that Activision is dreaming of... :/ Hopefully it's just a little statue or a stylus. Something small that's not too ridiculous if you don't pre-order the game.

If we can't get anything better than it, which we probably won't, hopefully a limited edition Tree Rex Variant in Single for each copy ordered. This would not only encourage pre-orders, but would make them so much easier to find for collectors, and at least give us something special. Make one for every pre-order. If they wanted they could even limit it to one per customer.

i'm actully hoping for consoles a limited edition pop fizz and for 3ds a limited edition jet vac

I like a good variant or limited edition like the next man but lets face it skylanders are popular. I'm afraid of something like the PS3 launch in '06.

My favorite consistent Pre-Order exclusive is just cash back, or a gift card or something (BB on Halo $20 rewards)

I just wish they would give us the release date for the Wii U version but Nintendo hasn't even given us a date for the system. If the Wii U console isn't coming until Nov or Dec then I'm getting the Wii version of Giants instead.

i just pre-ordered at game top the wii versn and they had the date as 10-21

On ToysRus.com, they'll give you a free Legendary Trigger Happy if you preorder (I'm in the U.S.). But I'm sure everyone has one by now.

With this I'd say no way since we will most likely get another round of store exclusives once the figs hit the shelves. I don't see a point in pre-order exclusives on the starter sets. It would up set a lot of people.

Amazon (USA) removed the listing for the Wii U version... I assume that it's because they don't know when the Wii U system is coming out...

ToysRUs Is again taking preorders for blue bash but it's rereleasing october 21st but now if you preorder giants, you get L-Trigger happy AND Blue Bash.

My money is on the "Skylander to be named later" that's going to be guaranteed available for TRU pre-orders is either Legendary Slam Bam or Legendary Ignitor.
