Oh, man, it was a loooong time ago. It was popular in the day, so I bought them new.

I had a demo with Spyro, Medievil, Metal Gear Solid, Gran Turismo, and a few others on it. I played the Spyro demo a lot, so my parents gave me Spyro the Dragon for my birthday

I remember I got a Spyro 2 demo at Pizza Hut. Those were the days...

My dad got me Spyro 2 instead of Crash Nitro Cart. All he told me about the game was 'you can chase sheep;. LOL.

And burn them!

i started playing STD when i was little with my best friend when my dad got it for me, i can now complete it in 3 hours. i am a spyro loyalist so i have to play the games, ANB was exciting because it was a new game with ye olde purple dragon, they can ruin what they like, but so long as spyro is a dragon and so long as spyro is purple, i will play the game but... i dont have a compatable console for the new game... i can wait until it happens... my boyfriend may allow me to use his console... maybe... btw he is the aforementioned best friend Jesus loves my PS2

When I first got a GBA for a birthday present, I also got two games. SOI was one of them.

Spyro was just an awesome childhood game for me. I still love how well done the first three are.

My first game evar was STD giggity. I thought it was the best game ever and I still do. I got it from my bro when he was done with it, he thought it was cool before he got crash bandicoot.

One day when i was like 3 or something like that i woke up and walked downstairs to see a PS2 with Tarzan Untamed, Spyro the Dragon, and Sonic Adventure XD durectors cut.

Considering I'm only 12 days older than the first Spyro game, my parents got it for my sister, who would have been around 4. Then I started to play it when I was old enough, but I just remember playing it from the start.

I was like 3 years old, I saw the game, and as a small child, just had to have it, it had a dragon! Well I was really good at it, and fell in love with the series. I still have the game, only reason I've kept my PS2, so I can have a system to play it on. In my opinion, it's one of the best games I've ever played.

I got a PS1 for Christmas. We went to Toys R' Us to find some games. I was really interested in that little purple dragon sitting on the game shelf. I got it, went home, started playing it, and the rest is history.

Fair enough, I found this game on a demo disc, and just fell in love with it, always was just playing the demo everyday, the same three levels over and over (Artisan's, Stone Hill and Dark Hollow) nearly everyday, never got bored of it. Then later on, when I forgot about it FINALLY, my Mum bought me Spyro 2 for my Birthday, I was so happy.

Parents,so I grew up with it,start of Spyro to end.

When I (or my brother) got a Playstation for Christmas in 1998, there was a disc demo called "Demo 1" that had demos like Tekken 3 and trailers like Crash Bandicoot 3 and Spyro the Dragon.

I didn't know what to make of Spyro at first but when I saw a commercial of Spyro 3, all I saw was how fast it looked and I got hyped but that was on Christmas Eve so my parents got me a pirated version with Zoe telling me it was illegal but I got the official version two-and-a-half years later in a UK toys'r'us. The game itself in general was fantastic and helped build my imagination on how video game settings should be like and how I would later appreciate other games like SoulCalibur III, Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition and Twilight Princess and tv shows like MLP:FiM.

Too bad later games don't have the same structure as the older games.

I wonder if that demo disc had MediEvil on it? I have a 'Demo 1' and the cover is red and the outline of Demo 1 is white.

I first played Spyro at a friends house when i was about 4, it was GTG and I've been playing spyro games ever since.

I must of read about Spyro in a magazine or something but I first played the demo of Spyro via Crash Bandicoot 3 .

I played a demo of the first Spyro game in Toys R Us, the same year it was released. I really liked it since the main character was a dragon and my parents bought me the game and a PS1 to play it on for christmas that year.

when i was about 3 or 4 i was annoying my mom she told me to ask my dad if i could play his plastation 1 wich i never played before soapparentley my dad had bought me spyro the dragon in 2000.my sister broke it and i forgot about it.when i was 10 i remembered it randomly and i had just gotton 10 dollers so i bought it of of ebay and i eventually became upssesed with spyro

When my 2 sisters and I get our PS we were searching some games and then I saw a little purple animal in one of the games in that store and my sisters were laughing on me when I say: "I want that game with the purple dragon in the picture" I got it and I was so happy when I meet my hero, Spyro The Dragon and I still love him (I'm 18 years old)

My first Spyro games were 2 and 3. My cousin brought Spyro 1 after I got into the series and I really wanted to play it. I played a little bit alas I couldn't play much as we live far apart.

I asked to borrow it.. She forgot about it and here I am over ten years later still waiting. I bet she threw the game out or sold it.

Spyro is too cuddly and cute to dislike right?

I've always liked dragons and clear Spyro is one.
But unfortunately not all people accept this change of perspective towards Spyro, especially their physical appearance.

My best friend introduced it to me (she actually introduced most PlayStation games to me!).

I think I played the Spyro demo that came with Crash Bandicoot: Warped before getting the full game.

There was too much I loved about it not to get hooked! The go-anywhere style gameplay, cute characters with attitude, tons of action, and of course... dragons!

my dad LOVES spyro, and when my mum watched him on a speedway one day she tried and idk how many times she crashed, but me and my dad laughed our heads off at her till she left us alone

What made me play Spyro? I had disc, I had Playstation, so why not? GtG was my favourite childhood game

Because I love ♥dragons♥ and because there are no humans. I love video games with animals & creatures. I'm tired of seeing so much human at all. I want to see something different. Not because I hate to be a human, but because it's too repetitive.

My brother got it for his friend (I was around 5 at the time) but his friend already had it so he kept it and i watched him play it. When I got a little older I played it and all the games after it.

Can't beat the Classics. That's where it all began :')

Gotta agree with you there, the first three are definitely the best ones in my opinion.

Spyro 2 just happened to be the first game my dad bought me for the PS1. The bad thing is I was about 4 at the time so I found it incredibly difficult and I gave up quickly. I found the game again when I was 9 and then I actually enjoyed it.

Got addicted to it when I watched my sister's play Spyro The Dragon. Couldn't play it then, but wouldn't miss them playing it once. And now I'm hooked. Have been my entire life
