Yes, that's what I'm waiting for to decide where to pre-order from. I pre-ordered from Best Buy last year because they had the VV. So the kids and I hit Target at open (8am) to get their launch exclusive Whirlwind, then Perkins for breakfast to kill some time. Then off to pickup our pre-orders of the 360 and 3DS versions from BB and finally hit TRU for the legendary 3-pack and launch exclusive Darklight Crypt. We had pre-ordered Drill Sergeant through Sam's Club.com thinking that was the only way to get it, it ended up being at Walmart as well. Info was scarce on DS pre-launch. I remember prices going through the roof on WhirlWind and Drill Sergeant before X-Mas because many people thought there wasn't going to be another way to get them after Target and Walmart ran out of their stock.

I'm assuming that all the retailers are going to want to get exclusives again so it's going to be another fun morning hitting all 4 stores. I just hope GameStop doesn't get into the exclusive action and make it 5 stops. Each retailer better get a TON of their launch exclusives because people will be POed if they dry up within the first 20 minutes of opening.

Just had a though. Do you think that they changed Jet-Vacs powers. The toy fair video shows him with the air blast, jet pack, and some form of melee punch thing, but at E3, it seems to be changed into the vacuum attack.

yeah, i agree it looks like eruptor but it is too big. im thinking the giant will be a volcanic rock monster or some cliche ripoff of eruptor.

From a page of pictures of E3 2012 on Facebook, the Fire Giant has been revealed, and the new Fire Skylander resembles a dog-like creature, and there's the Water Elf Skylander.

Judging by the blurry mess, it looks as though it may be some form of spirit, or no-legged creature of some form.

I have a theory. In Gameinformer, they showed us two giants and two skylanders. Nintendo showed us the same I believe. So the skylanders Aura showed us, crusher and the three on the poster, will be in the next issues of Gameinformer. For sure I believe we will see crusher and the three on the poster. Gameinformer showed jet Vac and not pop fizz. So gameinformer wil either show pop fizz, the fire Skylander, and/or the water Skylander.

The character that's labeled "Boomer?" is actually the lightcore Drobot. The undead and water rows need to be switched but everything else looks correct.

^ They just used multiples of the same figures to fill in space and make the collection seem larger. There are also multiple series 1 Spyros and Whirlwinds.

Activism is being cautious with the giants.. And the pic of the character poster don't help very well.....

I noticed that Jet-Vac's voice is different in the UK version of the E3 2012 trailer:

it is likely the people of the uk, which contains scotland, don't appreciate faked accents and activision got a real scotsman to do his voice out of respect. faun rather likes jet-vac's uk voice. :)

For some reason, I like the one in the US trailer better. Whoever they got to voice him in the UK trailer lacks the same expression that the one in the US trailer had - which was the best part of the few lines he had.

So...this game going to have our characters talk during events/cutscenes/interactions and a decent plot or what?

I'm all up for playing The Unholy War for Kids

We don't know if the Skylanders will talk in cutscenes yet.
