just wondering if anyone had found some sidekicks on ebay yet. i know some people at e3 were given sidekicks, person called "cheapyd" swag photo as proof below

I haven't seen any yet. I'm surprised they are not up there yet though.

I've not found them either. I have set up an alert for "Skylanders Sidekicks", but I have also been trying "Mini Skylanders" and "Skylanders Babies" but nothing so far.

Given the following video and the comment from the poster, it looks like they don't do anything except follow you around.

playing them on the wii for about half a level , all they appeared to do is run around, though while unlikely the code may be different in the ps3 and 360 versions. maybe they will farm gold for us while we sleep.

A theory on another thread suggested that the sidekicks might only do something useful when the matching regular character in being played. So far all the videos of hacked sidekicks I've seen have Spyro walking around with a sidekick or Gill Grunt standing while Mini Elf dances around him.

The correct definition for what the sidekicks are is considered a vanity pet. Similar to that of World of Warcraft, coincidentally by the same company, is just a cosmetic pet that follows you around as you play. The same as a pet bunny or the the 100's of pets WoW has. It won't do anything in game. It will just run around following you looking pretty.

Well the seller did start it at .99 cents. It's the buyer's faults the price skyrocketed since they're willing to pay that price for it.
I don't know why the shipping is $70 though, pardon my ignorance.
