If he doesn't get a redesign this is gonna be even less of a Spyro game than S:SA. Good as it is Skylanders doesn't seem like a Spyro game with all the other charaters crowding him out. And if he isn't redesighed it'll feel like he's not really even in the game.

Spyro'll be most likely be one of the fan-favorites, since TFB seem to be selecting Skylanders who are most favorited by fans, like Zook, Cynder, Whirlwind, and several others we've seen glimpses of.

I know these are Spyro forums and it started out as his game, but I wouldn't mind them skipping him, merely because we had three different variants of him first time out.

I want a Kaos figure more than any other

^That would make a neat expansion. It could come with his lair, a 'minion spawner', his robotic chair, and Kaos himself. Maybe he could have his own attacks but you could also replace him with another Skylander and see them pop up in thier dark form and use them and Kaos against Skylands/the regular good Skylanders.

faun has wanted a kaos figure since he was revealed as the villain for the first game. :) maybe with all the extra merchandising this might happen.

Not sure on this, but I reckon that Giants won't have a Wow Pow, because with the health they have and the damage they do, I don't think they need an extra attack. But it's possible.

Ok just discovered that the red skylander behind Terrafin is a new Skylander. It is the new TECH Skylander. I zoomed in really close and saw the gears on the base. So a red tech Skylander, what could it be?

Oh! That's interesting. Hmm... Why is Boomer there (It has to be Boomer? And, for that matter, why are all the original Skylanders on this list? I thought it was only going to be 3 from each element that were getting Series 2 models? Unless it's just advertising the original series 1 figures for those who aren't getting a series 2 model?

^ Sorry, I probably didn't state it clear enough. Spyroflame was mistaken when he labeled it Boomer, it's actually the Lightcore Drobot. none of the series 1 figures are on that list, they are only new Skylanders and series 2 (reposed and lightcore). I hope that this helps clear things up. If you have any questions, please feel free to ask =).

Hmm... Ok. I see. I got what you meant, but at first I was looking for a regular Series 2 Eruptor and Prism break and guess I didn't look hard enough the first time...

I guess I'll go modify the list then.

From how many figures there are, ALL will get remodled! Activision is going back and forth and back and forth and....

No-no... It's still 24 characters, just I forgot that they changed it so they're releasing normal versions of Light core characters too now.

I was just guesstimating for most of them. I argued it had to be Boomer because he's the only tech guy that has that much green on him. The one on the end looked like Drobot to me, in the pose we saw him sitting. (Not the one that's the articulated one)

Are we sure there's a LightCore Drobot? Seems silly they'd just leave one of the characters from that grouping out in favor of having 2 of the same on there. Although admittedly I don't know why Boomer would have a remodel when we know that the other 3 of the original 4 got them.

^ I'm not sure, I was thinking that the "articulated" Drobot was a lightcore one that was inspired by Jin's but it might be Boomer. You did a good job depicting them in that blurry image. It's very hard to tell, I guess time will tell?

Interesting that the chart with the figures on it shows 48 figures, not 40. I assume the additional 8 are the reposed versions of the LightCore figures.

From what I can tell, they are all the skylanders. If you look at the life row, that Skylander next to tree Rex is stealth Elf. Then fromtebegging it's ShroomBoom, stump smash, Zook, and camo. It looks like stealthelf didn't get a remodel, but who knows.

Ah, you know what. I think I got it. 28 (that old total we got) is 32 minus 4.

There are 24 remodels (3 from each Element) and 4 LC to total the 28. The 4 LC are technically "remodels" as well, since they're different poses. Leaving 4 of them out of it. So going back to my other idea:

OLD LC
Prism Break (Earth)
Eruptor (Fire)
Guess= Whirlwind (Air)
???? [My Assumption is Boomer-Tech]

NEW LC
ShroomBoom (Life)
???? (Undead)
???? (Water)
Pop Fizz (Magic)

This way, each element family gets a LC variant, with 4 returning, 4 new. ShroomBoom we already know has a LC variant, and my guess is that Pop Fizz would have one, being that he's kind of a "3DS Exclusive", people can still get him by buying the slighty more expensive LC version.

That would leave the Drow on the skeleton Bird having a LC variant, and the fairy thing for Water having one. Therefore, that would also mean someone from Life, Undead, Water and Magic would not get a remodel. If you ask me, that would probably be Stump Smash [From what I can tell, it looks like Stumpy isn't any different in the pic), Ghost Roaster (Hex, Cynder and Chop Chop are all getting them), Wham-Shell (they would just continue printing the one they have now to appease both people who haven't got him yet, and people getting mad at having to buy a new one already), and...I hate to say it but...Spyro. (thus far, I've seen no indication of Spyro being any different. And you'd think that they'd put a remodel of him front and center. Wreck and Voods aren't out yet though but Dub Trub is)

Thats how I see it anyways. Dang...didn't anyone else visit this booth? We could have had the entire collection known if people would have examined things more closely.

I love the fact someone took that picture thinking all the new skylander swag was the story when in fact all they needed to do was get a good photo of that picture.

Here is what we know (or believe to):

-Initial interviews and impressions with TFB was that not all first series characters were getting rereleases. The number 24 was given.

-Wideawakewesley received verification that not only was the 24 repose number accurate it was inclusive of lightcore figures.

-At least one interview has indicated that there will be both regular and ightcore variations of some characters.

-We have seen a lightcore and regular version of shroomboom.

-The very blurry picture shows each type has a set of six characters.

-This could be reposes of the 4 of each type previously plus a new figure and giant (going against previous facts)

-This could be 3 regular reposes, 1 lightcore, 1 new one, and 1 Giant with the lightcore of each type also having a normal duplicate.

-TFB has previously stated no skylander will be discontinued.

All the information contradicts itself we will not know what is happening until we see a clearer version of this picture. Its like looking at rorchache blotches, we are all seeing what we want to see.

For the record I suspect that there will be one of each type of version 1 skylander missing from the main series 2 assortment but they will inevitably turn up as store exclusives.

I believe the articulated one is just an homage to how hardcore the fan base is. The old green based one is series one and the orange based one is series two. Granted to the very far left we very clearly can make out an orange plated tech base and what appears to be a drobot wing. I was just assuming that this was coincidence and this was the new tech lander. However, I assumed that the red new one behind Terrafin was fire. I looked at the base really carefully and it does look like it could be on a tech base indicating that the other aforementioned tech cannot be new. Meaning it might be a drobot lightcore. However ther are no other evidences of multiple new poses existing in the spot so people have just been assuming it can't ve Drobot.

actually, it has been clarified that lightcores will also be getting a remodel, the lightcore is NOT the remodel itself. meaning we get three prism breaks.

I think that we should make an official skylanderss giants figure thread and get dark52 to sticky it and then we can keep adding on the new characters as they get released

No im not this thread is about the WHOLE game, not just the characters and figures like in the Spyros Adventure one there is about 5 stickys there so why not have some here???

Various sources seem to corroborate that theory, but the only official things we have to go on is two versions of Shroomboom at E3 and the blurry image above.

See what I'm thinking is that the ones that have a LC model WONT have a regular version. So, we'll have the original Series 1 Prism Break, and the LightCore variant. (Which will serve as the "Series 2" variant of it, and going back to my theory I posted above)

To me, it looks like they just copy pasted a few extra models into the commercial to make it look like there's more there than necessary. Certainly wouldn't be the first time a company used the clone tool.
