How do you get this spyro? Is it given away free? How many were made?

I don't think I have a shut up and take my money hard enough for this.

I've long been a fan of Spyro, even way before Skylanders or even the Legend Trilogy. I used to hunt and hunt all over, and before Skylanders I had a handful of things in my collection: A Spyro plush, a Spyro glider from..I think Hardees (Dog chewed up the plastic on the wings, and I lost the paper that goes on them) and a mini Spyro figure that's about an inch big.

It looks so beautiful, but I'm betting the cost will be outrageous. I'm already feeding a hungry hobby (Magic: The Gathering). I can't possibly feed Skylanders at the same time for that amazing Spyro. It's a shame, as I've been a fan of the series since long before Skylanders (as in since Ripto's Rage), but it looks like I'll have to pass on this one for the time being. I can't really afford to throw around a couple hundred dollars. Lol

I like how all 3 of those auctions/BIN are around $250 (also funny how people list the gold/silver/whatever for even higher when they're not as rare)
But it certainly is very pretty (: I wish I could get one but I don't have any money, just spent the rest of it..

LOL! By the way, Chaos, your sig is wrong again. I will have my first silver Spyro next Tuesday. However, it's wrong on the basis that if you list things you own, but don't have in hand, you could never say you have something I don't, because even I will eventually have it.

I think if you're going to do that sig, it should be with things you physically have in hand. Otherwise, you and I own the same stuff regardless, because it's only a matter of time until both you and i have it.

But another reason it's wrong, which goes back to my first sentence, is because I will have mine next Tuesday, while yours is probably stuck in customs.

Oh, and it's "Chrome Spyro." If it were silver, it would be the same sheen as the first variants. However, this is a metallic silver, therefore, chrome.

I currently "own" a Chrome Spyro just as accurately as you do so the sig stands. In fact, I have proof that mine is on the way as I have a receipt.

Please remember that whenever you had an item in hand but I did not, I carefully phrased my sig to say "on the way" so I am quite precise - it is the nature of my job.

That said, I will change the sig to say Chrome.

You mean him, Syk. I never understood why he did something as stupid as making a sig that tries to usurp another user. It seems like a fit of inferiority complex if you ask me. I just roll with it, though, because maybe he needs the attention. *shrugs*

I was trying to correct his wrong sigs. In this case, if he's going to keep up the childish antics, he needs to at least change it back to Flocked Stump, because that's the ONLY figure he has, that I don't. Even then, I could have that at a snap of a finger, if I wanted. I'm just choosing to wait on my 2 flocked Stumps to come in.

I guess thinking about it, though, it would be dumb for me to even try and get someone to correct a sig bread out of an inferiority complex. I guess that makes me just as dumb.

Oh, well. I will have my chrome next Tuesday for sure. The Activision employee was even kind enough to send it via FedEX, so I don't have to worry about the mailman just leaving it laying around. Classy Activision/Toys for Bob, gotta love'em.

I really wish I could open a crystal. Hey, I've been meaning to ask you. Can you take a pic of a crystal on the portal? I want to see how they light up. If you could, do Stealth Elf or Wham Shell, since their element is more vibrant than undead.

We all knew they would have one for E3, why not for SDCC? Outside of SDCC, I don't see what other convention they could cover. I don't have any contacts at Activision/Toys for Bob. Someone just thought of me, who works there, and decided to help. I couldn't be more thankful, either.

Honestly, this statement has really been eating at me. I know it's partially jealousy and I've tried to ignore it since I don't collect variants anyways and so I've just been play Heroic challenges for the last few hours, but I'm really quite bothered by this. No one from Activision or TFB even helps fans here find regular figures that they're looking for, but they'll send a brand new, rare variant to GameMaster78 (no offense GM)?! That's bull.

Well, if it makes you feel better, it wasn't a decision from Activision as a whole. It was just an Activision employee, who happened to have seen my pics on the net and thought of me while at E3. That employee might not have even been working the Skylanders booth.

This is the internet. Pictures and all other things get around. It could have been some Activision employee working the Transformer: Fall of Cybertron booth.

I won't ask any questions. I am greatful for whoever that employee is, and if I could repay them somehow, I would.

But, don't think it was Activision giving me special treatment, because if that was so, I wouldn't be biting my nails about the upcoming SDCC exclusive.

Got the first of 2 silver Spyro's today. The second will arrive tomorrow.

The picture is kind of crappy, because I took it with my cellphone. I will have to take better pics when I get home. I didn't expect this chrome Spyro to arrive faster than the person sending me one via FedEX.



Just like metallic Cynder, pics don't do this thing justice. It looks better in person.
