I figured out the names of the tech giant and "Vac- eagle" through gameinformer Vac eagle's real name is "Jet- Vac"
and the tech giant's name is bouncer

I really hope they won't do something stupid like make it so elemental gates (if they're in Giants) can only be opened by series two Skylanders.
Speaking of series two Skylanders, can the indevidual toys be preordered?

It is actually cheaper to get the starter pack(with portal).
It is 60 dollars for expansion pack. 10 dollars per regular sized character for Remodeled Cynder and Jet-Vac/Pop Fizz, brings it up to 80 for Cynder and Jet-Vac/ Pop Fizz, 90 for all three. The portal one is just 75.

That's not a red Pop Fizz. That's not even an arm. It's not thick enough nor is it bent at the elbow. There isn't the wristband/glove alchemist wears. It's probably a different new regular sized character holding a staff or sceptor of sorts.
EDIT: It also has devil horns. They look like there on Terrafin, but they're most definitely a part of him.

Unless my eyes are betraying me, I can kind of see "Legendary Slam Bam's" other two arms from dark52's pic on The New Skylanders thread. His other left arm is a little easier to see than the other right arm that's getting overlapped. I'd post a picture if only I could get a bigger image to point out the four arms.

One of Swords has some more information. Vicarious Visions doesn't appear to be developing the 3DS game this time, n-Space do. And some prices; "Starter Packs include the game, one Giant, one new Skylander, and one Series 2 figure, as well as trading cards and a poster, for $74.99. The Portal Owner Packs are $59.99 and come with the game and a Giant. Individual Giant figures will cost $14.99, LightCores will be $11.99, and standard figures are $9.99."

I've been sitting on an E3 press release for Giants for weeks, so glad I can talk about stuff now:

More info:

Each Series 2 Skylander has the choice of more than one upgrade path (I believe the implication here is that it's no longer limited like last time).

Series 2 Skylanders can be used in Skylanders Spyro’s Adventure (Not Giants and most likely just the characters that exist already)

Dang, now comes to the point where I get the starter pack or the expansion. I have money already set aside for giants and I hope to be there early at milo al GameStop. It's in a small area so I don't expect a lot of people, however, who knows what's going to happen. Well there is an upside because Walmart is across form my GameStop so I can pick up some more figures.
Goal for the release: be in a good spot to wait. Second, get at least two skylanders at GameStop, one giant one regular and if I can I will get more. Third run to Walmart and grab whatever is left. Fourth go home and cry for a little about how happy I am. Fifth, play he game after all the madness. The hardest part of the list to get a good spot at GameStop. I'm not spending the night because my GameStop doesn't open until 11am, but if they have midnight released I will be there!
Luckily GameStop is having a trade in promo. Turn in 3 games= $10 more credit, 5 games= $20 more credit, and 7+ games= $35 more credit. I turned in a set of games and got $66. Woot! But if the girl had scanned one of the games I would have $70, but I still got more to turn in. RAWR!!! Giants hurry up and come!!!!!
