What's the most you've spent on a Skylander? Do you always buy retail or have you succumbed to scalper's at some point? The most I paid for one was $10 Flameslinger from Gamestop online. ( factoring in shipping and everything and excluding adventure packs which are obviously more.) I have never bought from a scalper, but I want to hear if any of you guys have and what the highest you paid for a figure was.

It depends because I had to buy Hwam online and the total overall with shipping was like $17. Of that's the case then yes. However, I have found mine all in store, but the most expensive would be the ones from TRU.

Hwam? Whammy you mean? Toys R Us shipping does suck quite a bit, but fortunately I was able to find all my TRU Legendaries at the store. But it's still disgusting how Toys R Us charges more for Skylanders to begin with.

Yeah I ment whammy. But yeah whamm was the most and I got him form GameStop.com. But physically, all the ones I got from TRU. Yeah, TRU has ridiculous shipping prices, and bad packaging.

I guess it would be better to buy Dark Spyro on ebay for <$20 if you have no interest in Ignitor/Stealth Elf/3DS game/ mini portal. Probably save money that way.

The most I've spent on one single skylander is 35 dollars sadly. For my Dark Spyro Single Pack (Bought on ebay Germany). Since I have a pretty good feeling it'll never hit USA Shores.
I don't really regret anything, since It was bought for collection purposes, since i already have/had Dark spyro from my 3DS set. Ah well.

@Dunkin Ah. I think that Skylanders are meant to be removed from the packaging and played with since they're toys, but I understand why collectors like to collect also. I'm sure I'd enjoy it if I had the money/space to place 30 something single Skylanders packs.
@chopchop Well, you can't really call the scalper stupid if you were willing to buy from him...

Lol I know, alot of people say that. But yeah my OCD kicks in when it comes to toys I'm just an unusal adult collecting toys for no good reason, other than the fact that they bring me tons of joy Thats the most I've ever spent on a Skylander though, and I don't intend to do it again, not even for a variant.

The most I spent on a Skylander is £10 for an Dark Spyro from Ireland which actually worked out a loss for the person who sent it to me... the cost of a single pack Skylander where she bought it is roughly £8 and the postage was £3.65. I said I'd pay the difference but she didn't want me to.
I have kept it in its packaging (for now) but I do play with it... I don't know why people seem to have something against the idea of keeping them in their box. They work just fine on the portal boxed.

Yeah. All the complaints I see about Skylanders are really annoying and obviously by people who have never tried the game. In all reality, $8-10 dollars isn't that outrageous of a price for a minifigure if you only plan to buy a couple.

I am here because I was responding to the topic. That's what you do in a forum, yes. You have no right to tell me where I can and can't post. If you don't like my opinions then ignore them. Its that simple. No need to get angry about it. BTW, I prefer LoS to the originals. |

Well, to be honest there was nothing wrong with what you said, just the way you said it. It's perfectly fine not to like Skylanders, but there's no reason to say it in a way that fans of the game might be offended by.

I think... probably about £15 for a single from eBay back when I first got the game (Christmas-February time). There was literally none in stock anywhere around me so eBay was the only place to get them. Never paid more than £15 for a single Skylander though. Doesn't matter how bad I wanted one, I was NOT paying stupid prices.
Brought Bash (unboxed), Zap, Drobot and Sonic Boom through scalpers. Though I might end up buying unboxed Dark Spyro from them, since I have no interest in a 3DS (And I have Stealth Elf and Ignitor). Everything else was retail- £7.99 to £9.99. Everything was free postage. I don't pay for that if I can avoid it.

Not the whole UK, only Northern Ireland which is "overseas" and for most UK residents. And I think the only reason they sell it in NI is because they sell it in the Republic of Ireland (different country, same land-mass).

Other than $60 for the starter pack, the most I payed for a Skylander is $10 each for Stump Smash and Legendary Trigger Happy, which I traded to my friend. As for triple packs, I paid $20 for Zap, Hex, and Dino Rang together.
Recently a mini Toys R' Us store went up in my area so I won't mind paying a little more for them if it saves us on driving distance. Internet scalpers won't get a penny out of me!

I traded a Warnado with someone over seas for a Wham-Shell causing my Wham-Shell to have the highest cost investment I have put into a single figure of about $24. However I did not technically buy Whammy so I don't know if it counts.
I found most of my collection at the on-line seller websites (I am not big on going to stores) so the price always gets inflated by S&H: single: Cynder from Gamestop for $13 triple: Legendary from TRU for $31 adventure: Pirate Seas from Gamestop for $23 |
