Bought the Darklight Crypt and Empire of Ice adventure packs today, for £23 each. Given that I only bought my first adventure pack 5 days ago, I'm surprised I got them all so quickly.

Stores are stuck with many figures! It took best buy 30 minutes before they finally decided to refund my money for 6 figures and I paid $57.00 in cash! They were trying to find everything they could wrong with them! If you have figures to return return them now because its going to get tough because stores can't sell them and now they don't want the old ones either! I returned one at a different best buy today with no problem maybe because it was different help maybe because I only returned one maybe because I only wanted a gift card. I tried to make it as easy as possible today. I still have all original of my 32/32 but was clearing some doubles out!

I've finally found Cynder!
And the funny thing is that at first I said: "Nah, I could buy her tomorrow", since I planned to buy a cheap Jak and Daxter game, but then a guy camed at the Gamestop and asked to buy some Skylanders: you can guess my reaction

I have an extra Cynder! I returned two to Target where the cases showed damaged but my extra one is perfect even better than the one I peeled the sticker off of from Gamestop that is in my collection!

Finally found Wham Shell!!! Brand new Walmart opened up down the street. Went to see what they had and there were no Skylanders on the shelf. My husband asked a salesperson and she went to the back and brought out 2 boxes. Out of both boxes there was only 1 wham shell. My kids were so excited! We are finally done until giants comes out. Unless I can find a single pack of Dark Spyro. I see some of you have mentioned seeing single packs, anyone in the U.S. see one in store yet?

@Suzie-Q: They haven't released Dark Spyro in a single pack in the US. All the single packs of it are from overseas and they're a complete ripoff anyways. If you're a collector, there's a high probability the package is damaged, so that's no good.

If you're not a collector, then you may as well just pick up the 3DS starter pack when it's on sale for around $40...and it's frequently on sale. With that, you get extra figures that are reasonably still in demand that you can pawn away if you don't want and an extra portal that works on most systems and the Universe webgame if you don't have or don't want to invest in a 3DS...plus GameStop will take it from you, so you won't be stuck with anything you don't want.

I'm not looking for one, but if I were you, I wouldn't pay more than $20 for a Dark Spyro on its own...it's just not worth getting unless you're a die hard collector and even then, there are other challenges that don't make it worth wasting time or money on.

Thanks. I'm not a die hard collector, have just been getting them for my 3 kids to play, they are 3, 6 and 9 so they don't really care about the quality. I will not pay over retail though, especially not for a damaged one. Thanks for the heads up. My kids do not have a 3ds but you mentioned the portal can be used for online? I don't know much about playing online.

@Suzie-Q: Yeah! I bought the 3DS starter kit when it was $35 on sale at TRU. It's pretty short, but a slightly challenging action platforming game.

I just recently got into Skylanders: Spyro's Universe. It is a free multiplayer web game and you can use your various Skylanders to play assorted mini-games in order to gain levels and to collect money to build your very own floating island. It's a fun distraction and I wasn't too big into the MMO aspect of it, but you actually don't need to worry about your kids interacting with predators or bad people because your Skylanders can only choose from preset speech and actions to communicate. You can look into it by clicking here.

The portal is used to register and update your Skylanders figures and also to quickly swap between characters. It's by no means necessary, but it's helpful to have. I own the 360 version too, so it means I don't need to disconnect the portal from that when I use it in the webgame.

i have been quite lucky recently, I was on Holiday in Spain when i picked up the single of Dark Spyro, then got back to the UK found Zook and Ignitor, went to Amsterdam and found the legendary triple pack, randomly popped into Game and found Warnado and have just had Camo delivered my collection is nearly there but not like some of you guys who are mental!

YES,FINALLY!!! JUST GOT DRAGONS PEAK AND BASH.I WAS SEARCHING FOR THEM IN A LOT OF TIME,BUT NOW I HAVE THEM.AND ALSO THE DRAGONS PEAK I GOT WAS THE LAST ONE IN GAMESTOP!!!!!!!!

GameStop got a new shipment in today, containing three of the five items I needed - Empire of Ice, Camo and Warnado!
Now I just need Double Trouble and Wham-Shell (as well as the Sidekicks when they're released)...

Thanks for the info, I will definitely look into that! My oldest has been bugging me to let her play on the computer since my 3 and 6 year olds tend to hog the Wii. Now they will all be able to play. My oldest prefers mini games anyway.

I don't know, maybe because some people bought them with the intent of scalping them on eBay for a profit and when no one was interested in purchasing them at ridiculous prices, they finally decided to return their figures to the stores they bought them from before the returns period was up?

I also think employees stopped purchasing them too. Don't forget that LOLLL

That 3 pack comes in stock very frequently at Amazon so you should add it to a Zoolert alert.

I've had trouble finding him because I've only seen wave 4 in my local stores in the last 2-3 weeks. I did see one ignitor single pack when I got the cynder triple, but another boy got it before I could. I'm in the UK, by the way, so stock may not be the same as in the US

Anbody even bothering looking for the Crystal ones? I was thinking about buying a Crystal Cynder. Its pretty bad when a company has to make Variants to keep there product alive till the sequal. The stores are stocked with ones no one wants anymore I think Im stuck with 7 doubles thank god I returned some

Yeah, with 30 million total figure sales so far, Activision is sure lucky those variants are keeping them in the black.

Yeah Dont think Im ready to pay $200.00 for another Variant though knowing the employees are buying them all at my Target and not stocking the shelf with them...

They'd just be grabbed by a scalper the second they hit the shelves anyway, to be honest. You pretty much have to be the first person to see them escape the box to get a variant. They absolutely do not sit around. Not only that, they're in what, one in every 15-20 boxes, max? Not worth the effort to try finding them in stores. If luck or serendipity lands one in your lap, buy it, but you're likely to just be wasting your time driving around looking.

Just bought Cynder today! Finally found her! Got at a local Walmart. She was the last one, and only one, I've seen there since the game came out!

Hey guys!

I just bought "Starter Pack" of this game, so I installed it, connected the Portal, then I launched the game but it doesn't work!
In window of running processes in task manager after start a game there's just for few seconds "Skylanders.exe" and then it's gone, so I can't even try to play :/
Even worst is that the Portal is glowing and I even can't try to play :/

I think all the production is being shifted to Euopean stores, so the US will wait until after another week when it's released in Europe. US stores should get stock in again after.
