Anyone actually put any silver or gold on the portal? Do they really start with gold and at lvl 5?

Yes, they do. They start at level 5 and with 2100 gold.

Why would the gold ones but not the silver? Any hard proof of this?

The gold ones do because Activision only thought to start doing it in the first place once the silvers had been out for several months. It was not the plan all along to include the gold, or the levels. That was added as a perk down the line.

Okay, to clarify:

DO have level 5 and gold:

Gold
Glow in the Dark
Blue Bash

DON'T:

Silver
Toy Fair Hex / Cynder

UNKNOWN:

Crystals - I don't have one to test yet

Why would you question this? Many people here have variants. Believe them. It's not like they said they start at level 20 with a million gold.

I can confirm that the CRYSTALS also come pre programmed @ L5 with 2100 gold!

Questioning things is in my nature... up until these posts i had not seen anyone say they actually put one on their portal... someone confirmed it now though so I'm pretty content... i just wanted to check here before possibly buying a couple of off evil-bay lol
