Hey everyone. I'm a new poster, long-time reader.

I purchased the GameStop bundle with the Crystal Cynder and unlike the guy on evil bay who is selling the Crystal Cynder...I'm actually keeping him. BUT I have all the other characters so I'm trying to figure out what to do with them. I'm not sure I feel right selling them on amazon or whatever. I'd rather give them to a group or something. Any suggestions???

There's always people looking for something out there. I dunno how okay you are with selling things, but I'm sure if you browse the comment stream on Skylanders' page, you can find some people who are looking for something.

I'd imagine though, you'll have a hard time getting rid of a lot of that stuff. It's pretty readily available now, so you've really got 4 options.

1) Find someone locally who's looking and offer them at below MSRP
2) Sell them online at amazon, ebay craigslist
3) Trade them in to Gamestop at a severe loss
4) Wait until Giants comes out and they "retire" these older models.

I don't really care about the money. I'm just trying to get them to kids/anyone who will actually play with them or collects them. I collect them. I tend to get into collecting things that are hot at the moment. Just a hobby. I'm sure they won't be worth much if anything in the next few years. If Beanie Babies couldn't survive capitalism and the flooding of the market, nothing now-a-days will. haha

You could always contest some of these off and have an age limit to enter.

Here are my suggestions:

1) sell them on amazon. You could put them at like $3. More that way you can helped for your first set.
2) I would highly recommend Craigslist. why? Well listen here, you can make one whole thing about the ones you have. I would recommend puting them for regular price, but put ones one high demand that you can't find anywhere like Voodood and prism break for like $1-$2 more. Also, do some bundling on there. Like do a mega pack thing like best buy. The game system with the singles and an adventure pack for like $100.

If you are truly not interested in the money at all, I would suggest that you find your local children's hospital and donate them for the kids to play with. I know it seems odd, but most intake childrens hospitals have game consoles and I am 100% sure that they would love to get a donation of this sort. Though it may be better to throw a copy of the game itself their way too. Dunno, just an idea.

Did the crystal Cynder arrive sealed? What condition did it arrive in?

If so, I will take advantage of the next crystal bundles they do and just sell the extra stuff.

You might ask a local hospital if their kids ward would like them.

I need L-Rod, but I'm not sure my parents will let me buy from you guys. I suggest seeing if any of your neighbors play. If they do, give it to them.

Definitely do this it would be a great thing to do, and unless you are strapped for cash there is no need to go down the scalper route.

Selling the extras for retail is not scalping. But it's also not like the other figures are newer wave figures, so they aren't exactly hard to find. I would just put up a Craigslist ad and try to get somewhere between five to seven bucks per figure on the whole lot. Someone looking for doubles to upgrade down a different path would surely snap them up.

@seewolfe - I like this idea. It comes with a starter pack but I'm not sure which system it's for. I'll have to call around and see if they
have the proper system.

@GameMaster78 - I haven't received the order yet from Game Stop. I called two days ago and they said it was past the shipping phase but it hasn't sent out yet. I'll post pictures when it arrives.

@DMCrocks - I don't think it comes with L-Rod. Sorry.

I'm surprised the Crystal's are showing up on ebay. I probably would have just purchased one of them there, but I think giving the extras away will work out.

I say you should set up a thread for (if you don't mind) giving away some to the forum, for the people who still have them missing, the all the spares and starter can go to the childrens hospital or even sell them.

I don't know how close you are to St. Jude but I'm sure they'd love to get them in. Alternatively, Toys for Tots takes things year round I believe as well.

Also you could contact penny arcade and donate them to child's play
