I think so, and they'll probably get single pack releases.

Ideally, I'd like to have a Adventure Pack for each element. We have Earth, Fire, Undead and Water, meaning we'd still need Magic, Tech, Life and Air. Now, if they DO have those for the other elements, they'd have to include a remodeled Skylander, but I don't want that to be the only way to get that particular character.

Look at the screen behind and to the left of the bird Skylander. On the screen is an image of Spyro. Look at his crest and horns, look! Is it just me or are they a tad different?? By different, I mean does his crest look a little wider to you? And don't his horns look more brown than gold/yellow? Maybe it's just my imagination, but he looks a wee bit more familiar...

They were just playing the Skylanders: Giants debut trailer, SpyroLUVA. That's not a different Spyro.

Well I wouldn't say that exactly. Specifically, he mentions how the Giants are different, so he's probably referencing the Giants and the 8 new Skylanders. Which makes sense because the data for them aren't in the original Skylanders.

Since there's no proof of this email, we can't regard it as fact. (And even then, we've seen that the people at Activision don't really know everything either. Some of the employees said we'd never see the Legendary 3 Pack again...) Don't forget that people's interpretation of a question can be different than what you're asking. "Do the new figures work with the old game" could be regarded as "no, they don't" as in the Giants/new Skylanders, while you interpret as nothing working in the old game.

As chaosworrier said in the other thread, since these figures are pretty much identical to the ones that are out now, it doesn't make sense for them to not work.

since the remodeled ones have a level cap of 30, it would not work in the old game since the game is programmed to have a max of level 10.

30? Gonna need some source on that.

What could easily be done is that when you get them past 10, it'll just register as 10 on the old game. Doesn't make sense for them to be completely incompatible. Especially since it seems like they're going to discontinue the older figures, and just make the new ones. What if someone picks up the old game? They'd be unable to play because the accessories aren't available any more.

Honestly, their best bets are to choose characters that would look good when they light up. We know of 4 of the older ones that will have that, one being Prism Break. My guesses are Drobot (eyes, maybe the jet packs light up), Double Trouble (the staff orb would glow) and one of the Firelanders, probably Eruptor (his body/eyes would glow)

U are most probably right but i have a feeling that ignitor will light up and maybe hex but i dont know. i mean how awesome would it be for her eyes and skull to light up

or even for her to be remodeled would look awesome!

Even if they were around $8.00 each (which they will not all be) That is around $400!!!! Just for the new and remodeled releases coming out.

I would much rather have seen just 8 Giants, 4 new characters, 4 redone with remodels and lights and stuff!
16 would have been better! I guess if we do not buy any of the remodels or the special light ones....that will be around just 16 to collect!

It is nice to let everyone who missed the first Characters from the first game to get these re-designs though!!!

stealth elf is not remodled only used to show off how big the giants are compared to the origanals (in this case stealth elf)
